Hello everyone, here we are talking about the two primary aspects of interface. The first one is ribbon. And the second one is quick access toolbar, what is the ribbon and what is Quick Access Toolbar when you open the new architecture template, so, you can see that these are these are the portions that are totally open and there is one here this this portion is known as quick access toolbar, the upper one the front in the just front in above. So, you can see that this is the Quick Access Toolbar just below this, this this panel that is known as the Ribbon Panel. So what is the ribbon and what is quick access toolbar and what are their uses. So now we are talking about the Ribbon Ribbon first, what is ribbon and what are the use of ribbon.
Ribbon is a primary axis element in which there are few panels There's like a built in circulation panel, model panel, room area panel, opening panel data and work plan. So, these these, this portion is known as a ribbon. So, so, we are talking about ribbon here, when you go to the build panel, when you go to the build panel, there's certain command that is welcome and door command window component column, roof ceiling floor certain systems curtain million. So, this is the this is the basic command that are used mainly for the build build a model. So, there when you go for the right here, there is a circulation command that are used for the circulation there is used for the annotations they are model tax and all this is the model command room Area Command there is opening and last year that is a work in play.
So here we are talking about now what are the difference is there any difference that you see here? So I can see that there is a panel that is known as room and room nav panel there is a blue arrow here. So, what is that that arrow means this arrow is this panel is known as the expandable panel, this this is why they when you click here, it will expand it and you can give you two more options. First one is color schemes and second was area volume computations fine. So, this command is very useful sometimes, and when you say go to the Annotate tab, you can see there there is a little bit this blue arrow here that is known as Dialog Launcher. Dialog Launcher.
Just click it here. Sorry, I have a notification here to save the madness. I stop it. Wait a minute. Yes. So what is this dialogue dialogue line to this click here.
When you click it, there is a type of properties open and you can change it as soon as possible. If you want to either Don't want to change any line weight and all. So, I thought you want to make a duplicate or you want to rename this, this type, so you can rename it, I don't want to do it so I will cancel right now. Okay, so when we go to the Insert command, there is one more same below here that is Dialog Launcher here, you can manage it. Here also the same can say, right, so I'm going to the architecture tab here where you go to this model group. So you can see that there is one more below line here.
So you can also use that that is the drop down button. That is the mini model command when you go there. So there are many base model group and these are the same commands like Walden walled door and window that are used here. So you can use that also when you go to any command. So this button is highlights to you. To the blue color.
So, that meant it means that you are at that place and you want to select it just just select it by the left click. So there is okay. So, we are talking about right now the wall command hidden wall command, you can see that this is a wall command in which in this wall command date is a combination of two, you can see that that is a combination of two you can go to the command heads do command and R. And one more important thing and the very valuable that I like most here in the Revit architecture that when you go to the wall command, it will show the shortcuts that is why as well as it showed the users and their types. So you can go to the DOE command so you can see the shortcut that is Dr. And their users here, you can go to the window command the same is there.
Okay, so let's talk about the wall command here. This is the combination of two when you go to the wall command just click it. You can see this is the architecture wall you can make any wall layer like this Are you if you want to view this to the 3d model, you can see that they've all made so quickly right now, find this just if you want to delete it, so go to the Modify, just select it, and go to the Delete command and just delete it. Fine. Okay, so this is the architecture wall. If you go to below to this command, you can see that there is an arrow below arrow, you can click it so there are lots of types of ones that are open.
First one is wall architecture. If you want to create a wall architecture, you have to just click the first command that I show here, how to create a wall that is the wall architecture. If you want any other than that like structure, wall wall by face walls, if whatever the different walls that you want, so you have to select these commands for this. Now this is all about ribbon and now we are talking about The Quick Access toolbar, you can see that this is the Quick Access toolbar here. And when you want to just just go to the any any, any command just like this is float, okay, just go to the flow tab, just click right click it, it's give you an option that add to the Quick Access toolbar, just click it when you click it or go to the Quick Access Toolbar. It's not shown here because of less space, you can go here there is one arrow here, just right click it and and there is an option shown here that is so quick access toolbar below the ribbon.
So, when you do that, you can see that the there is a get access toolbar there is below this is the floor command that I had here. So this is the this is the very useful command to you very fastly. Sometimes you have to go to the to the panel and search the commands. There is a salt curse when you get used to it. You can you Use that very easily. I'm I did this disk right click and remove from the kickback and I will go to the above I like this one on when you go to the Quick Access Toolbar after right clicking is this is the custom Quick Access Toolbar.
You if you want to customize or you can see that there is an open panel here open there is save a save, you can see that there is text panel so it's a text panel. So section till lines. So it's returned the whole customize panel you can customize as your as you're on comfortable. So when you are comfortable, you can customize it. I don't want to change here, I won't go for the cancel Come on, okay. So these are the this is the primary interface of the Revit architecture.
So this is quick access bar, and this is the ribbon. So I hope you all understand that all about The ribbon and quick access bar. Thanks for watching.
