Good morning and welcome to your 21 day detox. Thank you for joining me again today. Good morning and welcome to a brand new start your day and great job but starting with something like this, this is such a great way to style your entire day to make it feel like you are winning from the very beginning. And that's exactly what we want to experience right every detail in our mind and Tom record. So by taking a few deep breaths in here, you Okay, so we're gonna actually start right where we are. And what I wanted to do is just a really nice deep stretch, trying to keep both hips on the floor while we do this.
So just go as far as you can without lifting up your head. And today I'm so excited because we are talking about loving our bodies. A great topic, right? It's so easy, especially as a woman, but men experiences as well to compare our bodies to others, to feel satisfied with who we are and what we look like. There's so much pressure to look a certain way to cover hairstyles a certain way. Oh my goodness, there's, there's pressure from every side and sometimes the advice even conflicts and it's just confusing and frustrating and can lead to a lot of shame about our bodies.
And that's just doesn't serve us at all. It hurts us when we don't feel good about who we are. I understand all of us experiences. You know, sometimes, even if you're confident in in the way that your body looks for the most part, there's going to be days when you look in the mirror and you're like, oops. We all experienced this. And so, first of all, I want you to know that you're not alone.
Every single person I guarantee you on the planet has thought this way, right? It's just the way it goes. We look in the mirror and we immediately start to say something about ourselves, I don't like this about my body or whatever. And that is a terrible way to start the day or in the day, or at any time. Right, because when we start doing that, we get out of our constant mindset like, right and we immediately go into the negative thoughts. Nicola, I don't like the way I look in this category or whatever, head over to the other side.
And then we start saying to ourselves, essentially, I'm not enough. I'm not good enough. I don't look good enough. I don't like who I am. Which is so sad, because that's not. Oh, all right.
But first of all, let's talk about the fact that who you are inside has nothing to do with who you are on the outside, right? There are people who are what most people would consider just stunningly classically beautiful, but they are horrible people that you would never want to be friends with never want to interact with you know that they're not good. Right? And yet, we're still thinking that, oh, I shouldn't be totally an author. And that should Just like this. So first of all, your inner identity is not your outward appearance of birth.
Okay? I also know people that by some standards, others are not considered to be, you know, especially attractive, but they are the most beautiful soul I've ever met. And that shines through more than anything else, right? There's finally joyful. They're glad to be alive and let's see, oh my word. Those people are beautiful.
Right? So first of all those two things are different. We shouldn't confuse them. Saying that. I don't like how I look at it does not translate to I don't like who I am. Okay.
So, firstly. So again, we all have We all have those days where we think I feel bloated or I feel. I don't know, whatever, I don't feel pretty today or whatever. But to think that on a daily regular basis, like reaching over. So, here's some things that you can do on a daily basis, well, we'll just do affirmations and that will help you but the things to think about on a daily basis, one of the biggest things to change our minds that is when we look in the mirror, when we find yourself immediately criticizing aspects of what we look like. Instead, I want you to immediately switch that off and say the things that you like about yourself, okay, because they're always working to learn about yourself, right?
Maybe it's your gorgeous eyes. Maybe it's a really Maybe it's a beautiful lap around your eyes that say that you love life. Those things by the way, I don't understand why people want to get rid of them. They're so beautiful. They enjoy that we are, right. So cars saying, hey, I've done something with my life.
I know who I am. Today I provide X, Y and Z. I have a mark from the day that my husband is retired and came it wasn't that I wanted but I live. Right. So this is the way that we read our minds and think about things. All the things that we like Because I about ourselves. If we think about them in a negative terms, we think about them in content terms like, Yes, I live here, I look amazing, right?
Whatever, all those things, the things that we are like, no, it's normal to start saying everyone has it, right? Unless you've done some surgical things. But regardless, it's normal, and to, its beautiful, it means you're alive. You can procreate and you can relate your best life possible. So embrace the thing. Yes.
I love this topic because it's so important. Okay, let's actually have one leg out. And I'm gonna reach up and I don't want to lean over Yeah, so let's be very temporary. Right? Okay, no more criticizing ourselves when you start doing it, stop Be mindful of those moments and say that I love this about myself. I love that.
I have strong ankle feet that allow me to run. Or you know, like, one of the things I used to be self conscious about was, you know, I have I really, they like muscles and they say, Oh, well, that's nice. No, it's great. It means I have power in my life. I can run it. I can jump, I can dance.
I can explore the world. They're powerful. They're tool. The great the beautiful just the way they are right. It took me a long time. bad but they are and some are yours.
Right so reorienting the way that we interpret our bodies is really important. So let's talk about some affirmations that we can use on a daily basis. And I would say this is an area of focus for you where you are so conscious about the way you walk, then this is something you should do every single day to do the affirmations. Right. As you're looking in the mirror, in fact, do these affirmations and then you look at yourself and repeat. The best part about you right?
Okay, so I'm just going to put in a topic today as the bonus versus if you want in fact, I'm just gonna do this for a second but here we go. I am beautiful. I am perfectly made. I love my body. My body is strong and powerful. My body allows me to do great things.
My body is purposeful. Everything about my body. beautiful story am perfect the way I am repeating those kinds of affirmations The more that you do it, the more you'll believe it. Right It becomes a part of your subconscious. You all Those things you were also start believing it now. But my challenge for you today is to be very, very, very mindful of the times when you start criticizing yourself, oh, I shouldn't have had that.
Or another acne or be mindful of when you self criticize and say, I know I love my I love my smile. I love my legs, whatever it is, be proud embrace those things completely change the way you think about your body criticizing yourself. And what you find is flaws and instead embrace everything about you that makes you perfect. Perfect. so gorgeous. Just the way you are.
Okay. So, okay, I kind of a bonus challenge. The other thing is to write on the things that you love about yourself. Once you start, you're gonna find a lot. Yeah. Seriously, check yourself out here.
Write down all the things you like. There's gonna be a great list and go from there. Okay. It's about loving and accepting our bodies. They are so powerful and their tool for greatness. And that's what we want to embrace.
Right? That's fine. One and keep exploring. Great Day
