Good morning. Welcome back to your 21 day mindset detox challenge. Thanks for joining me again today. I'm really excited to be here with you, life, that's what we're here to do, right. So, we're going to go ahead and get started just by first I just want us to actually kind of open up our chest. So we're just going to really focus on our shoulders down and back.

Just nice. It helps you can complete your hands to the side. You can have your arms behind you sometimes during that will really help open everything up like this. And his posture when it's a very deep breath ready Good, beautiful, all right ahead to a really nice open posture. Knowing that we are capable of handling it and not just handling it but thriving in it is a really powerful difference to kind of catching up to seconds to work through that. And take a nice, long stretch actually, you know, you can have your cake wherever you want whatever feels good, and maybe it's butterfly or something like that.

Do a really nice long switchover, I really want us to calculate the length of an embrace today. And today, we're talking about one of my assets. your subject, and that is success. But more specifically, it's about defining success for yourself. And this is such a huge important subject. And again, it's one of my favorites.

I'm really looking forward to talking to that. You have just opened really why just feel that blink but you're establishing here, nice and wide. Reach up as well. Go ahead and do another side, good. Hands behind our head. Again, keeping that really open posture.

We're just gonna go side to side kind of warming up our abs on our side. So, success. Alright, I know there are times when we feel like failures. There are times when we feel like maybe not failures in general, but we failed at something and are embarrassed about it or whatever. It's just really frustrating. I totally understand.

We all have those feelings. Absolutely. But success is so subjective, so subjective, because maybe one person thinks success is having a million dollars in their bank account. And another person who maybe has a minimalist mindset thinks, I don't need a million dollars, I don't even want a million dollars. I just want to be able to pay my bills without stressing. And that to them is success.

Maybe you have the idea of success being I have to earn my PhD in order to feel successful, and somebody else is happy going to a trade school. And that's how they feel successful because they've learned this little they want to do it. It doesn't matter. We all have different degrees of success, what makes us feel successful. We all have different degrees of back hair that we place it in or the order The the tension and the pool that we placed towards our version of success. And and everyone's is different and everyone's is valid.

So please don't get me wrong. But what is invalid? is choosing to define yourself based on somebody else's idea of success. not okay. Many of us have parents that have a very specific idea of success. And perhaps what it was for you was, you would be successful if you went to college or your degree, and then you got a good job.

And that would be success, and that would be good. And that's kind of what the expectation was. And maybe college wasn't for you, and you didn't feel like it was the right thing. And you chose to go a different pathway where they're disappointed position that probably do you feel maybe guilty or you feel like your parents or, you know, don't feel But you're successful or whatever, you know, that's a possibility. Um, so there are there are expectations placed on us, not only from the people closest to us, but from society as a whole, is it the kind of success in you know, sometimes really, really limited, narrow terms where you just think well, that's maybe success to someone is not Success to me. You know, for instance, to there are a lot of levels of executive success, you just write your life.

So, you know, the first level of success for you might be, I'm going to start my own business, okay, you decided to do that and then doing it, your success, right? Then the next thing is, I'm gonna stay in business for at least five years, I'm gonna beat the odds of a small business that fails, right? And so you think you did five years and that's success was not the same as somebody who define success as being a business person. 100 years, but that's not relevant to you, right? Or maybe, you know, somebody they feel okay, well, I won't feel successful with my business until I can personally make, you know, six figures or whatever. Okay, that's one person's version of success.

Maybe success for you is just making a profit. But you feel like, yes, my product matters is good, you know. I mean, it's totally intangible they are going to do with money, or accolades or anything, maybe it's somebody's life has changed for the better be there and can help. Right? There are so many different things that success can mean to you. And I want to stop thinking of anyone else's version of success, including mine.

I have very specific goals that I want to meet, and they're constantly changing and evolving and growing, as I do, but they're my goals and in order for me feel successful, I have to fake. This is what I want to do. And this is how I'm going to get it. And if I do those things and get those things, then I will feel successful. And I know that I've been successful all along, because I've always said that I can be. And you know what I mean?

I mean, I cut out a suit, but we are all the way but I know that what I do when I take just one step towards accomplishing my goals, my dreams successful because I already I am taking those steps to make those things happen in my life and you can't do so here's something that I really love. It's actually a story about my husband, but he started this tradition with me. Even while we were dating, in fact, we were barely dating. And he I was in a place where I was interviewing for a College Station job. Which I later did get, I'm still doing that now. But, um, and so he came over with a bottle of sparkling wine.

If he called it the best for dollar, and Champagne you could get it actually is like $4 is. Um, but anyway, and really thinking back here and payment if you want to even rotate a little bit of that kind of thing to this other one as well. But anyway, he's done rated me just going through the first interview. That was it. In fact, I think it was a phone interview that we first celebrated, but it was a step towards accomplishing the goal of teaching at a collegiate level, which I then accomplished. And so he's always been my biggest cheerleader here for sure.

But even if he worked there, I Have this you know, now that I know what this is like to celebrate success along the way. Oh my goodness that needs to happen in everybody's life. He's always been so great about that. But you can do that for yourself. So yeah, say your goal is to get your degree, get your master's degree or something. And so the first time that you you know, when you actually enroll in that program, celebrate that success don't get your $4 bottle of champagne.

Or, you know, whatever it is to you that makes you celebrate those things. Oh my goodness, don't do that because everything simple on the way. And I just love I love the selfish aspects, but I love the fact that we choose how we feel. And I can choose to be successful and feel successful based on what I believe successes. And like I said, My belief is success is going to be different than yours. So find what it is that makes you successful that makes you feel successful.

And then work towards accomplishing the goals and the dreams that you have that will make you feel successful and celebrate every step along the way. Because every time you work towards your goals, you are worthy of being celebrated because you're being successful. You're doing successful things, right. So even now, like even being in this course, right now, you should celebrate that you buy a bottle for $1 boldly. Yeah, because you you've accomplished something you have already gone ahead and said, Hey, I'm going to do this mindset detox challenge because I know it's going to be good for me. I know it's going to help me live my best life.

And then you chose to do it and you're doing it. I'm so many different things. So Let's see you can do that just celebrate you and, and the fact that you are a success, you are successful. So again, I'm getting really passionate because it's one of my favorite things to talk about I just such a strong leader if nobody gets to define success for you. I just love that so much love that. Um, on the flip side of it, I wanted to just give you one word of caution, and this is something that I really have to work on too is.

Again, success is different for every single person. So we have to also make sure that as we're on our own journey, that we're not judging somebody else for being on a different journey. And what looks like success for you will look very different from the next person. And so, for me, maybe success is having I'm proud when I when I do a workout, you know, five years So, I am like that man, like, I just wanted to do. Um, but for somebody else, their idea of success might really literally be getting out of bed, because they struggle with anxiety or depression or something. And so you know what success is getting out of bed.

So everyone has their different journeys, their path that they're going on. So when you acknowledge that success is individually defined, then you can also give grace in situations where you're like, I don't want to judge whatever is happening right now. And then you're like, hold on. That's not fair. Because this is different for every person, which is great. So let's talk about our affirmations.

This will be fun. Ready? There we go. I am a successful person. I work hard every day to be successful. Every step I take toward accomplishing my dreams and goals is already a success.

I am a success. My life is a success. I embrace each day and each new challenge with joy and with his success mindsets. I am good at what I do. I persevere. I follow them through.

I accomplish my dreams and goals. I have fun with that. Okay. Anyway, beautiful. All right. You're trying Today, I really want you to take some time and think about what makes you successful.

What do you feel makes you successful? I want you to define success for yourself. Like I said, this is going to change all throughout your life. Because, you know, at one point for me, just earning my bachelor's degree was a success. But you know, that was the goal that I was working towards. And so that was my success point.

And so when I was going to classes and doing the work and you know, making grades that allowed me to graduate, that was success, but now that's not success anymore for me, right? Because we've already done that. So, right now, where you are right now, what are the things you want to accomplish in your life or do or travel to or whatever it is, what would make you feel successful? Write those things down. And then think about in the coming weeks, think about all the active steps that you can take maybe it's just a little thing, you just Take one step today towards those dreams and goals, right? But with every time that you take those steps, you are choosing success.

And that's the most beautiful thing. And I want to congratulate you on every single step that you do. And then as you're taking your steps to celebrate along the way, doesn't have to be bubbly. But whatever it is, that makes you just smile and feel joy, do not write, you know, oh, maybe go have coffee with a friend or garnish it or whatever it is, make sure that you are celebrating your successes along the way. That way you continue to feel as successful as you should feel. Okay, there's so much to this and I'm just so excited about it.

But, um, definitely keep going towards your success. Find out what it is for yourself and embrace those challenges along the way. It's exciting. It's wonderful. It's the most satisfying feeling knowing that you are successful. And that you will continue to be successful because you know how to be know what success is for you.

Okay. All right, well keep exploring, be awesome and I will see you back here tomorrow. Yay. Thank you have fun today.
