Good morning and welcome back to your 21 Day Challenge. Thank you again for choosing to be here today. Joining me again, let's go ahead and get started with a few deep breaths. absolutely wonderful. Okay, so we're gonna actually do something a little different today we're gonna really focus on our arms and if you have weights at home, just like I said of genitals, you're welcome to use those. I'm not going to demonstrate the movements with them because I think that you can do them with or without, of course, the weights add an extra element.
But when you're just sort of getting moving in the morning, you're doing your mindset, detoxing, I don't know that it's particularly necessary. So completely up to you how you want to handle that. But we are going to start with just getting all those things worked out. So certainly nervous really well. And today, speaking of new things, we are going to talk about growth mindset. So a lot of us have a tendency to get comfortable, right?
We just have our daily life we do our daily things. We know what those things are, they're safe, and we don't have to necessarily be brave. On a daily basis. We just get into these sort of, you know, patterns of behavior that just continue us being who we are where we are and don't change, right. Sometimes I think it's fine to go through periods where you're just like no, I need a little bit of calming piece of my life and so I'm just gonna, you know, do the things I need to do. And then you go back into more growth mindset.
You know, of course, if you're self breaks yourself what you need. But let's let's talk though about some of those things because you know, getting stuck, or getting in a habit where you never continue to learn, or you're not curious anymore, you just sort of content. You know, it's fine. But if you want change in your life, if you want to be better if you want to live your best self, be your best self and live your best life. You can't do that without growing right? Because you have to be open to new opportunities.
You have to have, oh my gosh, you have to be open to learning new things, doing things differently. All those various Things that are going to actually help you continue to grow as a person. Those are beautiful moments, when you realize something new, you have this lightbulb moment you're like, Oh, I could actually do this, whatever this is, right? It's such a cool moment. So I highly encourage you to be a lifelong learner. Right?
I know a lot of us are happy to be out of school. I certainly am. But, um, but that doesn't mean I have stopped learning. In fact, I'm very intentional about continuing to grow as a person. And you know, there's so many easy ways to do that now, and a lot of resources are free, which makes it even better. kind of make them to a point where you literally have no excuse, right?
So for example, you can go on to YouTube, or, you know, Google Play or Apple or whatever and find podcasts. You can find Books, you can find all sorts of things where you can listen to experts talk about anything and everything, right? So if you're wanting to grow in your leadership skills, if you're wanting to grow in your business development skills, maybe you're learning, you're wanting to learn something really particular, like, how do I optimize my website? You know, let's talk about SEO? Or how do I how do I improve my interpersonal relationships? or How can I be a better parent or whatever those things are having that growth mindset is gonna allow you to continue exploring and not get stuck and this is just the way it is.
These are my habits. These are my patterns, right? So just a quick aside what I'm doing right now just curls with my biceps. Again, this is a great place to incorporate some weights or you can even incorporate something that you have in your house, you don't have weights and you just have like cans and vegetables or you know bags of dog food or something like that. You can To ruin anything, or nothing, but we're just going to kind of warn you that. And so those types of things, you have the potential to do anything, right, because your learning potential is limitless.
And that's just the coolest thing. So you don't have your hands like this Now I was raised. Yeah. First time I went up a little bit far, but you're actually done. Rather than like shoulder. So I okay, resources.
Yeah. So you have things like podcasts. Oh, my goodness, there's so many amazing podcasts and most of them are free, right? So okay, no excuse. And then from here, we're going to be like this. Straight up.
Good. So, um, there are many, many resources Audible, and that does cost a little bit but you can get your first audiobook free But there are audio books available on YouTube. There are things that are in the public domain now that people read out loud and record themselves, you know, on YouTube and then you can read books like PT Barnum, the art of money editing, or I've listened to Rich Dad Poor Dad through YouTube or things like that. So whatever you're kind of interested in, in learning more about what I'm going to do now actually turn it on I'm doing now is just looking up from the back, you can see that. And so again, anything you want to learn now you can and it's so easy to write you enroll in courses, I mean, obviously you're doing that now, which is a great step forward as well.
But you can always, always, always find opportunities to do learning continuously for the rest. Like for free. So take advantage. Basically, I'm going to do is just open and close, open close by stripping out my shoulders, and my back and my arms. Yeah. So when you have a growth mindset, one of the things that happens is you end up fight all of these opportunities that you didn't know existed.
Oh my goodness, you start having your eyes open to Oh, well back with an interesting idea. I never thought about starting my own photography business like that, or I had never considered that I could think about money that way or invest in this way or whatever the subject is a opens your eyes, right? all possibilities. That's what happens with me. I continue to learn on a daily basis and then I realized oh, Another idea in your mind, did you or Wow, that person is so inspiring? How did they become the leader that they are?
And when you learn about that, right, and then, you know, a lot of times, we'll hear the excuses. They're like, well, I'm going to try. Believe I don't have time. But what I do is I will listen to an audio version of a book, or a podcast, and I'll do it during times when I'm driving. And I just choose to listen to music or something else anyway, but I just used to do some learning at that time. I do it a lot when I'm doing chores around the house.
Because, you know, loading the dishwasher does not require my full attention. We're gonna actually go ahead and do it like this. But it didn't require my full attention, right. So if I can really focus in on those kinds of things. Well, I have time so to speak to do them than I am and doesn't hurt okay. A dog, then we're gonna go through that sequence a few times through plate.
Holding for a moment. You got to always find time to do it even when you're like taking a bath or going for a walk, right? All of these times, we can choose instead of simply being entertained, we can choose to learn learning, which can continue to help us grow as people as leaders, we can change the world when we continue to grow, right? And so that's what I really want us to be aware of and focus on. One more time. Then we're gonna cover good Okay.
Ready some time, that problem And then but actually, while we're doing the three newer affirmations, I see tricep curl, so it's not automatic. We're just gonna push into this position where we have straight arms, and then we're just going to not dip our hips are our arms. Right? So we're gonna go down and up and down. Like that. Yeah.
So here affirmations. A good one for today while you're working. I am strong. I am capable. I am a learning curious person. I have a growth mindset.
I live my best life. I choose learning over entertainment. I am capable of everything. I love to learn. I love to grow. I can be anything I want to be guided.
Okay, so here's a shout out. Today, when you're driving to work, when you are doing chores at home laundry things that don't require, you know your full attention are not super loud like that giving up instead of just either listening to music or cutting silence or whatever you normally do choose to listen to an audiobook or a podcast. I have a whole bunch of these kinds of things that I particularly love. But you if you're in a specific if you're wanting to learn about a specific thing, maybe financial health or maybe you're looking to learn more about nutrition or whatever it is, you're interested in just doing Quick Search for that on YouTube for audiobooks, and through your favorite podcast service, and then see what pops up. And you know what, if you don't love the first thing that you stumbled across, that's okay, you can just, you know, move on.
But make sure that you spend some time today, actively learning whatever it is, even if it's on your 30 minute commute. That's all the time you have. That's it. Great. Take that 30 minutes and choose to invest in yourself. right because you are worth it.
You are worth it, to continue to develop yourself to learn to grow to be and so I want you to think of it As not, you know, oh, I have this drudgery task that I have to do but no, I am investing in who I am so that I can be the best person that I can be right because that is what you're doing and that's what I want you to feel. All right. You guys are doing awesome. So happy to be on the journey with you. Thank you for joining me. And go ahead and keep exploring
