We know how important it is to have good relationships in the workplace. That's not always an easy thing to do. However, it can be done.
We start this course with tips for connecting with your co-workers, how to talk with them, and how to socialize with them outside of work (and what not to do). Many people have difficulty dealing with obnoxious or aggressive co-workers, and you'll learn how to be assertive with these co-workers. Now, some workplaces will punish you for being assertive, so I teach you when to be assertive and even whether to be assertive.
If you work in an environment that is high-powered, demanding, and requires excellence from its employees, it can be somewhat intimidating to deal with management. This section gives you many suggestions on how to interact with management confidently.
Have you ever been faced with a difficult boss or been mistreated by a boss? This is one of the more challenging situations to handle at work. There are ways to deal effectively with such a boss, and you'll learn what to do and when.
When people are self-confident in the workplace, they work more effectively and have better relationships with their co-workers. We end this course with important information on how you, as an employee or supervisor, can encourage more self-confidence in the people you work with.
With each section, you will receive at least one exercise to complete to incorporate what you've learned into your own life. I suggest that you write the exercises in a notebook to help you work through the principles and skills I'm teaching so you can see where you are and how to apply them to your life and daily interactions with others. All of my courses contain guided visualizations and songs throughout. My courses are intended to take you on a personal journey to understanding yourself and guiding you on a dynamic path of self-discovery to greater self-esteem and self-confidence.
