Welcome to these unique, 29, "observational gesture drawing' exercises I have created for you in my "Drawing for animation" course. I hope it will prove to make you a better animator. It might even introduce you to many of the core principles of animated movement if you are not yet an animator.
Originally offered as a weekly in-classroom drawing course back in 2020, the entire "Drawing for Animation" offering is now available here on-demand - meaning that you can visit each exercise in your own time, in your own location, and at your own leisure.
Or, you can even choose to visit them more than once! I would recommend that if you wish to polish and hone your observational gesture drawing skills even further. (I.e. The more you do them, the better you will get - and "fear of failure" is not a justifiable reason to procrastinate)
If demand requires it, I might even add more exercises to the mix as time goes by. So, please share your experiences - and work - with us, if the spirit moves you.
If you learn nothing else, I hope that (like me) you'll discover that drawing is a wonderfully healing "therapy", that helps us overcome the stresses and pressures of this world. I wish even more though, that this course will not only be good for your peace of mind, but also for your animation skills and reputation too.
What you have here is a foundation for animation success - whether you wish to create 2D, 3D, or any other form of "moving experience" for yourself or others beyond it.
I am therefore very excited to share the following with you - and wish you huge successes with your coming studies, and career.
With animated wishes,
Tony. :)
