The PMBOK Guide itself has long been recognized as probably, I mean, for most people in the field. This is the today's de facto global standard for project management has been so for quite quite a number of years now. Back in 2004, something very important happened to the pen book. It was recognized by NC for those of you who don't know, MC stands for American national standardization Institute. And that's the institute that issues standards for North America, if I'm not mistaken, the US and Canada in particular. And NC in 2004 recognize the Pembroke as the standard for project management.

And Anssi has very robust and strict rules for adopting Standard. So, you can imagine that the Pembroke of course has fulfilled those rules. And they also have very robust and strict rules to for standard maintenance. So, PMI has to maintain the Pembroke in order to meet ANSYS requirements and they have been doing so, issuing new editions that reflect the new trends in the industry. And between editions, they issue an edition on average every like 678 years. And in between additions, they keep also issuing things like I like to call them facelifts like in the automotive industry, between revolution models, the issue face lifts so that PMR from time to time, the issue some facelifts to keep the standard fresh and abreast with All the new developments in the industry.

Of course, you can expect this course to take into account all the latest, all the latest facelifts and of course, we tackle the sixth edition, the most recent Pembroke edition. So Pembroke is the standard for project management as at least as far as NC is concerned. And that that doesn't mean that there are no there are there aren't other standards out there. for project management. There are other standards you might think of them as competing or are no different standards. One of which is something called prints two.

Prints two is a UK standard for project management, and stands for projects in controlled environments called Prince Prince stands for projects in controlled environments. You can easily map the pin the pin book to print to. But of course there are differences between the two. It's not our subject here, but I just wanted to mention that there are other standards. But globally, the pin book is really the dominant one. Even in the UK of I've been giving some online courses for a UK University using the Pembroke rather than Prince to based on that University's request.

So it really the Chromebook is the global de facto standard for today the dominant one worldwide for project management.
