Welcome back. This is pillar four nature. We are going to start off by talking a little bit more about our innate connection with nature. biophilia is the term for this. nature can help boost the immune system. lower blood pressure, reduce our stress, increases ability to focus.
Nature accelerates recovery from illness. It improves our sleep, and it increases energy levels. So how do we add more nature into our homes? Well, we could certainly start by adding houseplants If you're starting for the first time with introducing houseplants into your home, be sure to pick ones that are easy to care for, like succulents porthos Kalin CO, and cast iron plant. If you have pets or small children, though, look for non poisonous houseplants. Photos and paintings of nature also work great for this purpose.
So pictures of waterfalls, forests, deserts, whatever views of nature you really enjoy. And then of course, there's actual views to nature. So if you have nature outside your window, make sure your windows are clean, and the drapes or blinds are opened up so that you can enjoy it. And wood wood is another way to introduce sources of nature into our home. So even though it's not a plant nature Like driftwood, natural wood like driftwood can bring in a natural element to your home. That's very grounding.
