Part of being human is having hopes and dreams. It's part of what gets us out of bed in the morning. But it's easy to become discouraged when your dreams don't manifest on your personal time schedule. Or it seems that your prayers aren't answered. You may have dreams but life intervenes, imposing its own schedule. And it's at these times though, if you're attentive, life sends you messages.
If you pay attention, you can see these messages as signposts to keep you on the path. I've always regarded birds as messengers. After all, it was a bird that didn't Deliver the olive branch to Noah, signifying the end of the great flood. For the Native Americans, the appearance of a crow meant putting aside fear and calling the shots as you see them. In other words, trusting in your own truth. And the truth is, life has a way of sending us messages, in whatever form we're open to receive.
Many times it's a mandate to keep the faith and stay on course. But it's up to us to be aware enough to notice what messages are showing up for you. Now, Faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. Hebrews chapter 11 verse one
