In this video, we're going to do something that I find really, really interesting. I love doing this because it helps so much later on when you actually start advertising. This video is going to be all about figuring out who your target audience is. This is crucially important because it all depends on the product that you're promoting. For example, when we say weight loss, we know that it's for pretty much everybody. And there's really no difference between men and women.
And maybe age doesn't play such a major role. Everybody could qualify for weight loss products, not being able to clearly define your market. When somebody asks you who you're promoting these products to who you're advertising to, and you just say everybody who wants to lose weight. That's a bad way to approach things. In this video, I want to show you the right way to approach things. Then once you figure They sound, they'll be able to easily target the right audience that's going to buy from you.
That's crucially important because if you're targeting the wrong audience, people are not really interested in buying, you're going to waste money in traffic, they're going to waste your time. You're not going to get as much traffic and as many buyers as you could, if you had the right information. In this video, my job is to make sure you have the right information at your disposal so that you can get things done the right way. Let's assume you want to promote the Venus Factor. Who would you say is the target market for this product? Without looking at anything I would say?
Obviously women because it's called the Venus Factor. Other than that, I don't really know that much. They could be younger, older. I can't really tell. This is why there is this special website, they can actually show you who the people visiting these websites actually are. It tells you exactly who they are.
It can tell you how much money they make their age, their ethnicity, all those things. This website that I'm talking about is called alexa.com. It's actually an amazon.com company. They provide this type of information. alexa.com is not free, it starts actually at nine point 99 a month. But for the thing that we really need, it's 49 a month, you do get a free seven day trial though.
I have the premium 49 a month account because it's so so useful that I just have to have this. It's so crucial that I have this information for my advertising efforts. That's why I have it. If not, I'm going to show some alternatives. But Alexa is definitely the leading website when it comes to this type of information. Once you've picked the product and Clickbank that you want to promote, let's say it's the Venus Factor.
Then you type Venus Factor calm on find and just click on the link and it's going to go ahead and give you a ton of information about this product. As you can see, it's showing you the countries where it's popular where the visitors are located. This is awesome. useful because when you create as you want to advertise, you want to make sure that these partner countries, these popular countries are on the list. Then another thing, they want to make sure you look into this just a second, let me scroll down over here. Here we go.
Audience demographics. This is the Golden Nugget when it comes to alexa.com. This is the information that we need in order to be able to advertise properly. If you don't have the premium version alexa.com is going to show the gender education and I believe browsing location, which is maybe not that useful to you. But if you have the premium version at $49, then you can see all of this other information which is really, really useful. The most useful thing here is female.
This website does get more female visitors, although surprisingly not as many as we would think. As you can see, it's pretty close male to female, even though the product is actually geared towards women. It may be a little bit weird, but it is what it is. As you can see female as a little bit more, then we've got the age, surprisingly, from 45 to 55. Plus, this is the audience that visits the website the most. That's definitely interesting, something that I wouldn't have guessed, I would have probably said maybe 25 to 34, which in this case is not quite accurate.
This is definitely interesting information. The next thing is their income. This may be not something crucial for this product. But if you were promoting something related to making money online, then the income is something you would want to take a look at. Then we've got the ethnicity. They're mostly African American, then we've got Africa, Caucasian, and so on.
These would be the groups that you want to target in your ads, then has children Yes or no? Most people don't have children. But personally, I don't think that this really matters in this case. This is how you find out more about the audience. Have a website and a product that you want to promote Then later on, when you start doing your own ads, and you start advertising, you'll know exactly who you want to target. You don't have to shoot in the dark and hope you'll find the best audience, you will know exactly how to go about it.
That's pretty much it when it comes to alexa.com. It's very powerful. The good thing is it doesn't take long to figure out these results. You simply type in the website, scroll down and you'll immediately see who your target audience is. I do want to show you one more website. Unfortunately, it's not as good as Alexa, but it is free.
It's called Quantcast calm unfortune Unfortunately, it does not have all the websites in its database that Alexa has, we can try the Venus Factor, but I'm pretty sure we're not going to find it. Venus factor.com There we go. Let's click on it and see if we can get any metrics. Unfortunately, we cannot really get metrics related to the audience. When I use Quantcast, what I do is just go to authority. websites that I think are similar to my product.
The Venus Factor is obviously a product targeted to women. Because of that, I would go on a website like Women's Health magazine. Okay, here we go. Women's Health mag.com I would go on this website and obviously it exists in Quantcast database. Then I would look at the statistics here, and just try to figure out who my potential audience could be. These are some of the ways that you can do it if you don't want to get alexa.com.
If you don't want to pay 49 a month, then Quantcast is a different option. That's really it. That's everything that I wanted to cover. In this video, I wanted to show you the potential of Alexa, but also show you how Quantcast can in a way, replace it. Now that you have this information, you're ready to start advertising and you'll know exactly the audience that you need to target. That's it for me in this video.
Thank you for watching, and I'll see you in the next one.
