Hello, and welcome back to the course. In this lesson we are going to see the tactical model for the 21st century. I hope you have been visiting the P 21. homepage and that you are inspired and have had some new thoughts about what the goals of our education should be. The tactics is something about planning an education that lets your student reach the goals they're supposed to reach. And to do that I have often worked with this model. Start with a teacher presentation that leads to an immersion where the students dig into the material and the subject, then it's necessary for them to reflect on what they have learned.
And then we move on to the student presentation and then We go again. And now I've met a model that looks almost the same. It's developed by Jackie Gerstein, and presented in her book about flipped education. She starts with activity. And the purpose of that is to create motivation and interest and incentive to learn more. The children are experimenting, playing and doing things that lights the spark.
That leads to what where we are digging deeper. The teacher provides materials to deepen and broaden the subjects, videos, podcasts, websites, and etc. That takes us to so watts. And here the key word is reflection. The student takes the subject in and relates it to her own world. And make sense of it.
And then finally now what will the students shows what they have learned and affected them by making an interesting and creative presentation for the class or the world. By using a model like this, it gives the students an opportunity to work with competencies of the 21st century. But we need the tools. And we'll get into that in the next movie. I've selected some tools for you. So you can can use this model and make your education exciting.
And the tools are audacity and sound recording program, Photo Story, where you can arrange pictures screencast o Matic, which is the program I'm using to to film these videos. Then it's Prezi presentation software. Very much, then we're going to take a look at social media, how to use them as a learning management system in the education. And we're going to stop by YouTube to see how you can use that as a teacher to distribute distribute your, your teaching, and the pupils can use it as well. And finally, we're going to take a look at pbworks. And remember to check out check kersting in the resource sources pages, I've included links to websites, sites and to the book where you can buy it.
Okay, see you later.
