Hello, and welcome to this lecture about how to use fossa story. I'd like simplicity, because it enables you to focus on the content instead of technology. Now the simple program I would like to show you is photo story from Microsoft. I think you can download it for Mac as well, who else you can use iMovie. For the story lets you arrange pictures, sounds, text and music. So you and your students can make a video of a given subject very easy.

It's based on pictures that the students find on the internet or create on their own. To do that the students have to dig into a subject in order to reproduce the knowledge and pass it on to the PS. I like using photo story because I think it's an important process for students to find out what they're going to communicate and then find the pictures and texts that Since the subject so the message gets through. I think it will develop their critical thinking and their creativity as well. In the resources list, I have listed some good ideas to how to use this program. But let's check out the program.

In the list of resources, you will find a link where you can download this program full story for Windows. I have downloaded it and opened it and then it asked me to if I want to create a new story or edit a project or to play a story. I want to create a new story. Then I press next. And then I have this blank screen and I want to import some pictures. I found these pictures I want to to use.

I mark them and press open. Then I have my pictures here. You can see them on the timeline. Now I have Option two to change the order of the pictures, I want them in this in this order. And up here I can edit the pictures. I can rotate and go back, I can crop the picture and I can repair them or I can add an effects on them like this one or this one or maybe this one but I want no one so I press no one and Save and Close.

Okay, and I can then go to the next picture and do the same thing with that. And in some of the pictures there are these black polos I can change them by pressing this one. And I say yes to all because I want to change them all. And then I press next. Now I can write something on my picture. This one is called Earthrise.

Let me see if I can spell it right. This, you see the text in here, it's difficult to read, but then I can change the color. Sometimes our students, they have to learn how to make it clear when they write a text on the picture. They have to be held to two rights rather than two to two, so that their peers can see it. I can change the size and the font and so on. I want this font here.

And then I want it to be in the right or the left on top. And I can do that again on the next picture. Then I press next. And now I'm able to record something here. I press this one. Now all I'm saying is recorded here.

And then I can adjust the movement. If I want to. I have to grab it here Is it difficult? Hmm. I wanted to zoom in the picture. See you later to start here from this picture and then zoom out to this picture.

And I wanted to be shown for five seconds then I couldn't take The next feature I want to change Yes. And I can do the same to close this again. Then we press next. Then we can put on some music. I can choose something from my computer, or I can create music in the program. We want some classical music, some shopping.

Don't want it to be sad. I can try to listen to it. It's okay. Then Okay. And then I press next. Now I want to save it so I can play it on my computer or send it to my students.

I press this browse to find out where to save it. I want it on my desktop. And I want to call it n players. And then I press next. And it saves my little movie on my computer. It takes a little while though it has has to put it all together.

But then I'm able to send it to some of my students so they can can see it or they are able to send it to me. Now it's making the music. It's working on it. Sometimes it's, I think it's a great program because you don't need a lot of technical skills to use it. It's easy to use and easy to, to demonstrate and you can make some beautiful things with it.
