Now that we've imported the images, and we've looked through Lightroom interface, so you're familiar with Lightroom interface, let's do some tidying up. So let's compare some images. And we'll be deleting removing some images from here as well. And I'll show you different ways. For example, I've got these free images here, which look very similar. Okay, so let's, let's come back to five, so we're going to do is, I'm going to select two very similar images.
So it's like this image here, and that one here as well. So I'm just holding the Ctrl key on Windows or Command key on a Mac, and selecting the second image What if I selected this as two selected, just to make things easier to see for you, I'm going to collapse the panels at the bottom, so you can press f6 on the keyboard to so you can see more. I'm also going to collapse the panels on the left hand side here, and maybe on the right as well. You could use f seven of eight and we've used to image selected, we'll click the Compared to icon, so you can see both images side by side. So you can compare the images and decide which one will stay and which one will probably be deleted. So you can see the images side by side.
Excuse me. Even if the padlock is locked in here, you can zoom on both images, they can zoom in on both images to see them bigger. So zooming in, you can see how far you zoomed in. I'm on 123. So like 33% view, you can pan around the image, okay. So the image, this image seems to be better because the B's in focus we're in here it's out of focus, although it's still loading.
So give it a few seconds because loading the preview, but so far, this image is a winner. Okay. Oh, zoom out a little bit. See what else we've got in here. Is that's the main focus of the image. That's right.
So this image is a winner, this one which will go away. So here's a number of things you can do. You click on the image, there's one here to select it. And you can flag it for removal for later on, give us two flags here in the bottom left corner, you can flag it as a pic, we can flag it as rejected. So we can do especially because we can use it for filters later on. We'll click on this icon here to flag it as rejected this image here, okay.
And we'll exit compare view. So we'll go to a grid view here. You can see which one is rejected is this one here, okay. So going to dislike these images, okay, then this one. And you could select these two. Oh, another way you can put in images is you can select free images at the same time.
So if you select these three images, you can use serve you here. So now we can compare multiple images. If you want to compare more than two images you can use serve you savvy mode. Some Well, sort of one thing, you can't really zoom in on all of them all together in here, we can do is you've got as navigator in here. So you can use navigator to zoom in, but sometimes I mean on the image selected, so you kind of could do it, but doesn't look the same as in the survey view. So I typically prefer using compare view, but this is just the my own preference really.
Okay. So what I'm going to do here is I'm going to go back to grid view. I'll select these two images because this one is rejected already, so I'll click away I'll select these two images. So again, Ctrl key on Windows Command key on a Mac to select two images. Compare view again. We'll zoom in on both the images and we're focusing on the B again.
So go to 123 again, Okay, this one seems to look like a winner. A small focus around video, whatever it is, this one seems to be actually what actually both look interesting and quite good. So I'm going to keep them both. We've removed one image already. Okay, so I'm just going to click done, we're done here, go back to grid view. So this image is redacted.
Okay, you can't reject any more images. Let me just bring back the panels. So this one here, you can select any of the images and go to FLAC in here, but it's not unflagged. What you can do is you can go to photo menu down to set a flag and consider to reject it, or you can press X on the keyboard. Again to remove some adjusted images later on. Okay, so let's say I'm going to maybe flag one image rejection, maybe one of these three, so I'm going to open them in live view.
That's too much because Lightroom remembers what I did last 123 It's been two years fate will be fine. Now I've got the next image, just pressing the right arrow key on the keyboard. One more, so I'm going to keep this one. I'll keep that one as well. For this one, it's going to set the flag to rejected here. We could also press X on the keyboard.
So click on this icon says rejected back to grid view here. We'll bring back the panels. We go and you can see we got these two images rejected. Okay, so we've organized some images, we're going to remove some images in the next video.
