Now that we've imported images, let's explore the Lightroom interface. So you're going to see the images in Santa. And you can change the size again, like in the input dialog box with this funnel slider here, so you can make them bigger and smaller. To see more of the images or images, natural has seven different modules. So the library module top right corner, Develop module, map module, book module, slideshow module, print module and web module. We'll go through all of them but for now just spend time in the library module.

So the top section here, the top panel here in Lightroom, will have the module access to all the modules in Lightroom. And you get this we call identity plate in here. There's a drop down here next to x. So going to customize it soon as well. On the left hand side, you have navigator so here in the navigator. With the image you have selected, you can zoom in on the 200% view.

That's one way of zooming in the image and you can pan around the image like that. Let me pick a different image, I'm going to click on fit. I'll click on the grid view icon here, I can press G on the keyboard, or pick a different image, maybe this one. So zoom into 100%. You mentioned it 100% preview for me because I use standard preview one important so I took like, two seconds maybe. So we can pan around the image, inspect the quality for example.

It gives me an even more there's a drop down here we can zoom into, say 200% view or 300 or 400% here as well, because I'm really really close. Now the image looks pixelated because I'm zoomed in to 400% view that's normal is the same in Photoshop. Whatever you go over 100% view, the image will get pixelated or will look pixelated but it's not. Okay, so just go back to 100% here. Where are we so good to to work. Or one to one, I usually leave that at 50%.

So one to two, so you gotta see the entire image of film. So the entire width is filling area here, then 50% and hundred percent. Okay, and in fact, building the navigator is going to collapse navigator so you can see more of my panels in here, you have the catalog panel. So you can see the number of images you have in your catalog. And the last imported this these numbers will be different as we work more and more of the images, folders, you'll see the folder you've created in here. So I've got it on my local disk on a C Drive is called day one when I roll over it and leave the cursor in here for a second so you can see the location of the folder.

So if you're not sure where your images are in Lightroom is one thing you can do. You can just move the cursor over the name of the folder and you'll see what it is Sure some more ways of doing it later on. Okay. We're going to go back to grid view here. We're going to talk about collections in a different in a separate video. So we'll leave it for now, public services, this will be covered on separate video as well.

Okay, so I'm going to leave it at the bottom you'll see the filmstrip with all the images, so you can access images by selecting them in the first place. So for example, you could go to loop view here and use fin strip to grow for images. Just like that. Okay, we're going to cover compare view and serve your view in light of video as well. So for now, just focus on grid view and look you have keyboard shortcuts, g for grid view, E for loop view. Okay, we can also do is you can select the image and you can use F on a keyboard to preview the image in full screen mode once you maintain the image because I'm recording in a smaller area on the screen, but if fullscreen encompasses If again to exit full screen mode.

On the right hand side, you have some panels as well. Now these panels on the left and on the right will be different in different modules, or at least some of them. So for example, in the library module, go to histogram and here, the quick develop panel here, and then keyword in which we're going to cover key word lists as well and metadata as well. So we'll focus on metadata for now. A lot of information about the files you select. So for example, this image here selected and you can see information like for example, what camera was used to take the picture, what was the ISO settings, so 200 was the focal length, or the exposure setting was the lens so this was shot on a 60 millimeter macro lens, and the your name, maybe GPS data as well if you have GPS location enabled, if you have a camera of GPS facilities.

So this could be here as well. A lot of metadata information In here, you can also get this preset drop down menu so you can access your presets. And you can choose what do you see in here, there's this drop down menu here, we can choose what do you see in the metadata panel. See, so normally it will be default. So normally, you will see more more information, because there'll be much more in here, like the Met like the corporate information here, which can be changed, as you may already know, okay. So I'm going to leave it on default as it is in here, you can play with it, explore it, and change it.

When you select images. You can see the the name of the image selected here above the filmstrip. So that's the file in here, even when you go to grid view. So as you browse for images, you can see the names. You can see how many of you have selected and how many images there are here in the input. This input here pretty simple 16.

Okay. There are filters on the top, but we're going to explore filters. In a separate video as well. Okay, so for now, this is the Lightroom interface. Just one more tip for you before we move on to another video. Keyboard Shortcuts if you like using Well, first of all the easy way, you can collapse and other panels by clicking these little triangles, so you can collapse the top panel and the bottom panel panel on the left and one on the right.

And you can open them as well all for just collapse the panel on the left. If you just move the cursor over this panel here on the edge and will pop up and as you move it away, it disappears. Okay. You can also collapse and expand response using keyboard shortcuts. I five for the top, six for the bottom. I have seven on the left and eight on the right.

So it's f5 f6 f7 f8. And let me just say Few more keyboard shortcuts for you. You can also use tab to collapse the panels on the sides left and right, top on a keyboard, or Shift Tab to collapse all of them. So Shift Tab will collapse all the panels for example, you could view the image in live view, which you can do by double clicking on the image as well click and press Shift to collapse all the panels and what you're looking at is just the image of the Lightroom interface. So it's not the full screen mount, you can still see the Lightroom interface. But we don't see any of the panels in here, unless you've tap again to show back the panels in here.

Okay, that's the overview of the Lightroom interface. So let's take time, explore it, have a look on it. And let's move on
