So once you have a rough cut, that means you've got footage on your timeline. We're going to refine the Edit by trimming your clips, rearranging and deleting anything that you don't want. First thing you want to do, if there's a clip that you just definitely don't want to use, you can delete it. So I'm going to click this clip, I don't want it, I've got this trashcan option that's deleting, you can also rearrange your clips. So here I've got a clip of myself talking, I want to put a close to the beginning. So I'm going to hold it with my finger.
And I'm going to just drop it where I want it. So now it's close to the beginning. So let's trim some clips. This is similar to what you already did in your photo app. But the way you do and Kenna master is selecting the clip, and then you get the yellow bars which look familiar. So if I drag to the right, it's going to cut off part of the beginning for drag to the left, it's going to add it back.
Okay, so what I want is to cut off part of the beginning here I want us to start right about there where I'm already the cameras already on the pamphlet. So I'm just gonna select it, drag the head, right to that point. And then that's what I want. And then if I want to cut it a little bit early, again, I'll select it and I'll drag this one right there. So that's one way to trim. But Kenda master offers you a different way to trim that I think is helpful.
So I'm going to zoom in here on this clip. Let's watch it. Hey, it's a nice fall day going on a hike at Stockton State Park. So I have a little bit of extra time at the beginning before I talk that I want to cut out. So I'm going to select the clip. And when I do that, you'll see there's all these options that pop up up here.
So what I want to hit is this trim split tool. But before I hit that, I'm going to put my playhead which is this red bar, right where I want it to trim I'm actually gonna click away again, hit play. Hey. So I'm going to cut off all that extra part before I say hey. So I'm going to pause it right before I say that word, select the clip, hit my trend tool. And then I can hit trim to the left of playhead.
And what that's going to do is trim off everything to the left of my red playhead. Which is exactly what I want. Hey, it's a nice fall day. My friend Jill are going on a hike at Stockton State Park. Okay, and then if I want it to end there, I'm gonna do the same thing. I'm going to select it.
I'm going to hit trim. And then I'm going to hit trim to the right of playhead. That's going to cut off all this end part which is what I want. And we've clicked away. Make sure that that is right at Stockton State Park. One last thing here.
If you ever do something that you want to undo, just hit this little circle back button up here. And it'll undo your last move. You also have a review. So these two buttons can be really helpful. So go ahead and do some trimming, deleting and rearranging and then we'll move on
