So before we even get into can master the editing app, there's a lot of stuff we can do on our photo app to get the footage ready before we go to our editor. So you're going to come into your photo app and find the footage that you're working with. So you can preview any of these that you need to by clicking on it playing. And this clip I know has more footage than I'm gonna use in my edit. So I'm going to go ahead and trim part of it in here. So the way you do that is click this edit button in the top right corner.

And then it changes the screen a little bit. You've got your footage in the middle, and then you have this timeline down here. With a white bar. This is called a playhead. You can use your finger and scrub through the footage. You can also hit play and watch it and then you've got these two arrows on both sides of your footage.

If you touch it and hold down and start moving, you see yellow around the footage. That's what you want. Do you can scrub towards that point, I'm gonna like go. And then what that's going to do is cut off all of this part. So then at the end of my footage, let's see she's walking, walking. And then I don't need all this other footage here.

So I'm going to cut it before before a zoom in. Let go. So now you can see this grayed out area is what you're cutting out of that clip. If you're happy with that, hit done, save as a new clip. And if you go back to your photos, you'll see that it put that clip right by the the main clip there. So I still have my full clip that's long 19 seconds.

And then now I've got my shorter clip here, seven seconds, and that's the clip I'm gonna want to use. So go ahead and trim your footage, and then we'll move on. So once you have your clips trend, let's go ahead and put them in an album so that they're easy. Find when we get to Kenna master. So the way you do this is hit select in the top right corner. And then you can click on your clips and you'll get this little blue circle with a checkmark.

So I'm going to click on the footage that I trimmed that I want to use in my edit. And then once you have those selected, you can hit this little box with an arrow in the bottom left corner. And then there you've got options you can add to album and that's going to give you some prompts you can add to an album you already have, or you can make a new album and title it and then all that footage went into that album. So now if I go to my albums down here at the bottom, I'll see this hike footage here. So go ahead and make an album with the clips that you want to use in your edit.
