So here we are on our homepage, I'm going to start a new project just to make a quick little picture video. But first, I'm going to come to this settings, wheel here and go to editing. Before I even bring pictures in, I can set how long I want them to come in. Of course, I can change that once the pictures are in the timeline. But I'm going to set mine on four seconds. And then down here, we'll go through all of these options.
But we'll start with fit in screen. And then I'll come back and show you what the other ones do. So let me start a project 16 by nine, and then I want to bring photos in so I'm going to go to my media folder here, go to photo, and I made an album, Cuba pics. I'm just going to tap them. And then they're all my timeline at four seconds. The fit in screen option just fits the picture in the screen exactly like that.
They're not moving, they're just still, if they're vertical, they've got blocked on the sides like that. So that's it. screen if I go back to my menu, come back here. If I do fill screen, start a new project. I'm going to bring that media back in. Now if I watch it, it has filled the screen with the picture.
So there's no black on the sides, you see all of the picture. And sometimes they land in the right spot like this one looks great. This one since it was vertical, it just blew it up and pushed into the center. So you can't see his face here. Now, of course, we can modify these, and I'll talk about that. But let's look at these other options here.
So go back to my settings, edit, Ken Burns crop and pan random. Start a new project. Okay, now this one gives the pitcher some motion. They're going to move in or out. But it's just going to be completely random. So that's what that option does.
And we'll look at this last one here. crop and pan face recognition. Now this is going to do exactly what you think it will based on the name. Let's go back to my media kit, the master is going to recognize faces, and it's going to use those to make its moves. So sometimes that works, it's can be a little bit extreme, I think they zoom in and out a little bit too much. And then with the face recognition, one, it's not going to do any panning and zooming on the other photos, unfortunately, so my recommendation would be to bring media your pitchers in using fill screen.
So now we can adjust the position on them. I'm going to click on this one. So now if I go to this cropping option, it says start position and position and I can tell the photo how I want it to be. So at the start, let's say I want to be close up on his face. And then I wanted to end back where you can see both of us play that. So now I've set my own move at a speed that I like.
You can also just come in here cropping. Just set it to the place you want it. And then if you have this equals button, it's just gonna stay in the same spot to start and finish. So now this one is not moving at all, but you can change all of your pictures here with this cropping. So I could even start this one over here. And then at the end, maybe I want it to be about the same size but I'm gonna move it a little bit like I'm panning and that's a cool look.
So it's really customizable to use this cropping option for all your photos. And if you throw some music under here, add some transitions. Then you've got a nice little picture video collage. So play with the photos, go through all those options so that you know what they are and then you can use them when you need them.
