Ah yes visual effects. If you did some pre visualization or pre planned visual effects drafts earlier in pre production, then you should use them as a base to work on for the actual and final visual effects. For example, initially, I showed you the reference and test shots we did in pre production for this paint blot shot. Now, a visual effects artists can use this shot as a reference to then create the final effect, which would then look like this. Either way, after your shots have been selected, and more or less trimmed to the specific frames you want to use, you then start to send these drafts to your visual effects team to work on. Normally, you might have a visual effects soon advisor work with you to get the final look.

But this process tends to take a while and also tend to require a lot of information and details from set. This is where that visual effects breakdown sheet, and your scripting notes would come in handy. Before prepared though, especially if your shots has a lot of crazy otherworldly elements, that visual effects can take up the entire time of post production. So be prepared in your production schedule planning. Again, if you have any visual effects to share with us, or perhaps you're looking for someone with the skills to team up with, post your thoughts, questions and comments on the q&a board. It would be great to see what you guys can come up with
