Call sheets are the most important documents not only on set but also offset because not only do you need to keep them to track your hours, but some guilds and unions may require you to have to keep them for membership membership requirements, like the Directors Guild of America, for example. So very briefly, call sheets are usually given out on the day before the shoot with call times and details of a shooting day. As you can see here on the sample, we have information on the weather. The general crew call time, specific crew members times contact information, and this one is important. The closest hospital because you just never know right. shortlists, on the other hand, are different.

They generally entail all possible shots and shot information for your Well short. And this includes both visual effects, and non visual effects shots, basically all the possible shots in your film. Now, you can do this two ways, you can either go into greater detail by listing each shot and cut in there. So even if let's say, the sequence cuts back to the same shot twice, like this example right here, you count that in two separate rows. Oh, you could keep it simple. And just this only two shots irrespective of how they would be cut up your choice.

Once again, I've attached a document to this lesson of other external examples and sources of information of both call sheets and shot lists. So feel free to check out that document for more information and templates.
