Hello everybody, welcome back to the second dashboard. In this video we will see how to use max if with multiple parameters. Let's get started to do so first write the if statement is equal to if bracket open. Now as we know if I try to put a formula into this particular box, it will overlap. So we'll write the formula in the formula bar just keep the cursor in the formula bar and repeat the same task is equal to if bracket open and so we can see the two conditions one is based on designation The other is based on salary slab. So the first one I'll be using is designation.
As we already said, there are two conditions so there will be two brackets. The first condition will be put into the first bracket. I'll put in the first condition that is admin. Now Currently, the entire designation is based on the I column. So I'll be freezing the icon using f4. With $1 sign will be before I once done I'll compare With the field from the selected data by the user.
So if the user is selecting 2016, the comparison also has to be done from the same 2016 data. And for that, we have to use offset in the name range, which has already been covered in one of the previous videos. Now the name I've used is designation from data. So I'll do the same. So now that's one of the parameters and I'll close the bracket to finalize the result. Now I wish to have an additional condition for the same which will be going simultaneously with each other so I'll put in a multiply sign so multiply what happens is, this would give us the result of an array in true and false so it should be if it is true, multiply True, true multiplied by false gives false, so both of the parameters should be satisfied.
So I'm putting multiplication symbol and I'll open the bracket once again, I select the experience slab here, and the entire experience is in the 17th row. So using the f4 I'll freeze the 17th row. So press f4 twice, and I'll compare it with the experience group from the data. Now, once done, I close the bracket. Now if these two conditions are satisfied based on the requirements that we defined, I wish to see the converted salary. So in the true value I put in converted salary from the data and a close the bracket.
So that's if so this is the same thing that we've done in one of the previous videos for F But do remember this is multiple condition based and now we wish to get the maximum. So I'll put max before if and close the bracket and end and we'll introduce the power of array function. To do so, we'll use a shortcut Ctrl Shift Enter which will in turn convert that formula into an array. The data is showing an array result for admin for the experience for of zero to 10 years. Let's bring it down to the records listed further down. So I'll drag it down first and then to the right and in turn I'll get the entire result now wants done I'll just use the formatting options to review the formatting has been distorted because of the drag and that should do it.
