Hello everybody welcome to the second dashboard. In this video we will see how to plot a chart in the given area. Now here I wish to see the percentage result as we did for the responses. So what I have done is under the data for dashboard, I have created a small table, that gives me the percentage result based on the selection done over here. So it's a simple formula that is equals to whatever data is in C seven and here I've calculated the percentage results and from the data represented out in the actual dashboard. Now to plot a chart, simply select all the data insert line chart and we'll use marker line.
Now if we want something better or easier and easier one we can also use a shortcut alt f1 but later we have to actually convert the chart type and then have to select some relevant charts which will be easy to understand. So We will go over the line and the marker line. Marking line gives us a better understanding with the marker points. So click on OK. And once done, cut the chart from here, go to dashboard, keep the cursor on one of the cells and paste, use the Alt key to fit it onto the borders exactly, which helps us align it easier and better. So I'll adjust it a little bit. And once it is arranged properly, so that should do it.
So here, here it is, the arrangement is done. And you can use the arrow keys later to select one of the parameters of the graph directly. Now here if I change the text and the patterns from the actual data, it intern automatically reflects on the chart. And I'll have the styles and the formatting. Just keep the cursor on the chart from the plus icon to the right corner. Just click on Add and we can edit whichever data is needed.
Say for example, I want to add At the top of the screen, so I'll go to the legend and I'll say top which in turn, takes the data to the top. And I'll just move it to the right corner. Here, I wish to have a chart title to the left, and I wish to have the title on the chart. So first we'll take a cell where we can actually add the title. So we'll take cell B once as equals two. And so currently, as we know if the formatting is white, the entire B column is white.
So it will not be visible. So we have to select the formula bar for the entry. So equals to the message that is percent cell percent cell double quotations, open a bracket and double quotation ampersand INR double quotation and double quotation bracket close, full stop and that should do it. So whatever is mentioned in double quotation is the data given from mine so if we keep the cursor here and we don't see it, but now For the magic, I keep the cursor on the title. And I put the cursor in the formula bar and say equals to cell b1, press enter, and whatever is mentioned over here, automatically gets updated over here. So in the future, if I select any other parameter, the data also changes with it.
So that's how easy that is. So I'll just change it back to INR. And there it is. So now, if I move my data according to that the chart also adjusts itself. And to see the plotting done on the graph directly. We can use a brush.
And we can use multiple formats provided by the system directly. So we could select the one that's there. Or if not, we could simply go to the plus icon that has chart elements and then data label, which in turn will give me the percentage directly onto the screen and if it's overlapping, it will be Be just so let's just remove the gridlines so it's just not needed for now. So now the data shows the reference with percentages. The alignment can be done for each graph and it can be altered as required. In the next video we will see how to bring the results of average percentage and the rest at the bottom.
Till then, keep practicing. See you in the next video. Thank you
