In this lesson, you're going to be getting used to some staircase turns. So these are great to see what happens at the start and the end of a turn with that nice routine. And we're developing from the lower body static without actually having to worry about changing ages. So we're going to look at the heel edge and the two edge and then combine them together to get that turn to happen for us. So how are we going to do this guys, we're going to start off with equal weight on both feet on the heel edge with that chest facing down the slope. To get the board to point down the hill.
We're going to place some weight on that front foot and release the edge and have a nice slight twist with that lower body just getting the board to rotate, so it points down the falling. Once I'm comfortable with the speed I've got, I'm basically just going to look across the slope, rotate my hips, my knees and my feet. And just like we did not lower body static and I'm going to pull back on to the hillside where I'm going to center my way then down through those knees and ankles and get that nice edge grip and control of my speed. And then I'm basically just going to do the same thing again and make a staircase down the slope. If you run out of space, just zyk back to the other side, and then start again. Or you can sit down, roll over and try on your toe edge, which we'll look at in the next video.
