Congratulations, you've made it to turning. This is the stage in the snowboard learning permit room, we're gonna combine a lot of the skills you've been learning throughout. So here, the big way to think of it, this is combining that hillside staircase turn on the two side staircase turn. So we're just going to walk through the turn so you can get really clear and flushed it in your mind. How do that turn supposed to look and feel and turning is the essence of snowboarding. This is going from one age to the other fluidly and making our way down stylishly don't the slope.
Let's walk through the terrain together so we get really comfortable and get the idea of that turn flushed out in our mains. So we're going to start off on the heel edge with that equal weight on both feet. Chase facing down the slope, shoulders and lane with the board and that nice neutral, relaxed posture up top. To get this turned to happen. We're going to place that weight on the front foot and slightly rotate the hips, knees and feet. So we feel that board start to point straight down the hill.
I'm going to look down the hill. And then this time, instead of turning back onto that hill, it's like the staircase turns. I'm going to look across the slope, rotate those hips, knees and feet, to like come on to the toe edge here, where I'm going to bend down through those knees and ankles. Get the edge to grip and get control of my speed. Once I'm ready, I can stand up to release that edge. placed a lot of weight on the front foot, rotate the hips, knees and feet, till I start to point the board straight down the falling.
And again, I'm going to continue looking across to the other side of the slope. Rotate those hips, knees and feet, maintain alignment with my shoulders to like come on to that heel side. Again, I'm going to bend down to those lower joints, get the edge to grip and get control of my speed.
