Okay. So, we will take now this thing that the either force here control system wants that further talking about the five emotional detonators. Now there are some conditions that the ICS wants to have absolutely respected. If these conditions do not occur, it will detonate emotions, very strong emotions in us, that will cause us to do something about correctly that situation and there are vital and there are five of them so you don't even know you only have to put them in one in each favorites to remember them. Because every time they occur every time you feel a certain emotion, it's probably because one of these conditions are not being respected. And so that's why he is Yes, is causing you to feel that way.
And I think that's important to know. Right? Especially in business. So, let's see. Let's start with the first one, which is when we've said that already, which is security when the ICS feels insecure. As a matter of fact, this is important, as I said in the previous lesson, when you feel insecure, it's not you feeling insecure.
It's the ICS, which makes you believe that it's you, but it's not. Okay, so that's very, very important that you keep in mind. And so this insecurity comes from the fact that there are situations that it hasn't been able to control yet. And that is why it seeks control. That's the primary thing that it wants. It wants control.
It produces feelings of instability. You feel unstable inside. It appears to lose power. If it doesn't matter. have control it cannot have power because controlling power are associated the one the one thing together. So if it loses power, especially power on you, then it feels like it's in trouble.
The predominant emotions are doubt hesitation giving up diffidence, irritability, powerlessness, confusion, laziness, pessimism, jealousy, rigidity, and be self distressed. Oh, there's a blend of things that that happen to you when the ICS feels insecure. So this is one thing. Let's see the next one which is also really important which is lack or no recognition or acknowledgement. We absolutely need or the ICS needs to feel acknowledge that it has significance that it has a meaning. Why is that so important?
Because if We do not feel that we are made meaning that we have a significance, then we are dispensable that we are not necessary. And if we're not necessary, we are shoved aside. If we are shoved aside, we have no control. And we are at the complete mercy of anybody. So when they're not recognized in the ICS produce pretty powerful, pretty powerful emotions in us so that we can get this recognition back and say, Hey, I exist, I'm here. Okay?
This happens even in businesses do that, right. As a business, I'm not talking about as an enterpreneur as a business, when business businesses are not being considered. The intrapreneur feels fear because he associates obviously with this business, and therefore he feels out all kinds of strange emotion. We'll get to their design in a moment. So it's important that we understand what the meccan Isn't this what is going on inside of us? So what it seeks it seeks acceptance.
He says, I want to be accepted, I need to be recognized. I need you to know that I'm here that I present that enough dispensable, that I'm important. And people will go very, very long ways to go to make sure that other people understand that they are to be recognized. Now, for example, this all of this thing about popularity, or being popular, the famous, it's very strong, because it comes from this from this like, then it produces feelings of inadequacy. It makes you feel inadequate when you are not being recognized. You see, this is this is kind of crazy, isn't it?
Because you do not feel recognized, and it rejects you. feelings of inadequacy. It doesn't make any sense, but it does and they said the reason why The ICS injects certain emotions into you. It's because it wants you to take action. It does so in a way that we are like discouraged by taking action. And this has a purpose and we will talk about that.
There is a reason for this, which seems to make no sense, but it does and it's vitally important for personal growth and business growth of course. It's fears to lose approval. That's basically comes from approval comes acceptance, from acceptance comes recognition. The major and predominant emotions are rejection, loneliness, rivalry, grumpiness, arrogance, modesty, detachment, shyness, aggressiveness, etc. These are all ways that some that's what most people do when they don't feel recognized. Let's see our third that means Which is clash of values.
Values are important. There are references for us that goes back to our belief in value system. When people act or think differently from us, we feel threatened because they're not like us. We know that similarity generates trust, this similarity creates a clash, a conflict. Therefore, what the ICS is, is looking for is compliance. We like conformity, we like compliance, we like people complying to certain rules, for example, or to certain ideas, political or social or whatever.
We like that we like people that are compliant with a certain way. For example of the way society works in our society. We need to have people that are compliant to certain of a social values. Otherwise we believe that they can be a menace a threat for society. This, this happens and at the macro level, it also works at the micro level, in relationships, even the closest one. It produces feelings of shame or guilt, especially when we are the ones that breach those values.
Every time we believe it's something that we have no choice in that we have to believe in something. And every time we do something or fix something or say something that is opposite or different from what we believe to be good to be true. We are assaulted by feelings of shame and guilty. We feel Why did I even think that? Why do they do that? I shouldn't have done that.
It's not it's not it's not who I am. It's not what I believe in. Everything. Find yourself in that situation. Well, let's see YCS in wants you to stick to your values, because they are references. And when you have references if you are stable, and that's exactly what the ICS wants.
And by the way, that's also the reason why the ICS will not allow you or it will make it very hard for you to question yourself, because questioning yourself means that you may want to change some beliefs that you have, or some values that you believe in. And that is considered to be a threat for the ICS the predominant emotions are anger, intolerance and meeting hate, resentment, closure, contempt, suspicion, conceit, dissent, superiority, etc. Now, the next few are a little different, because they're associated to either pleasure or pain. Now, every time you adhere to the first three. In other words, when you feel secure, when or when you are secure or your ICS deems that you are secure, that you are considered that you're recognized that there is similarity or values, you feel pleasure. And in fact, the next detonator is when there is no gratification.
No, no gratification means lack of pleasure. But not only that, that's why I put this as a detonator by itself. For example, I want to go on vacation that has nothing to do with our security with a recognition or without values. We just want to go on vacation one field we want to take a route want to go have a drink with a friends, that's gratification. So that's why there's a that's a detonator by itself. If you go to feel gratified, if you do not give yourself verification, your ICS is going to want you to do something about it.
Hey, give me some clarification, give me some pleasure, I need that. And that's why we did the Felisa produces the most is a feeling of sacrifice, you're sacrificing yourself, you're not leaving thoroughly. At least that's how the ICS sees this. For example, if you are in sports, and you want to become a champion, and you have to really work hard and hard, and you don't go out with friends, as your other friends do, etc. So at some point if you're not strong enough, and that's the real you, if you are not strong enough to oppose the definition of gratification, at one point he will give in, he will say what the hell with the champion champions who cares, I want to have fun with my friends. And so that's where problems start to arise.
If here's the least satisfaction and content and the predominant emotions are apathy, self centeredness, indifference, restlessness, Depression, frustration, the motivation, impatience, defeat, etc. So there are pretty strong feelings here we have for example, depression. Depression is still lack of gratification. When you don't gratify yourself or people don't gratify you somehow, you are going to feel the pressure sooner or later, it's going to come to you for sure. And the last is tension. And tension is the opposite of gratification, because tension is is associated to pain.
As I said before, if the first three conditions security, recognition and values are respected, you have pleasure automatically when they are not. When they detonate automatically. You also want to have tension. But here again, I chose to put tension as a detonator by itself because whatever peasy tension may not be necessarily associated to those first three detonators and that's what for example, somebody tells you something that can annoy you. It doesn't have anything to do with security recognition or, or values or clash of values, you feel annoyed, you feel you feel pain, you want to get rid of that, or you have to work more. Or you want to go on vacation and something comes up.
And that makes you have to cancel the trip. And that gives you tension. It has nothing to do with younger three. So that's why I gave it a definition of its own. And wait it feels tension, it wants relief and at the same time it produces tons of oppression. You feel pressed you feel like really pushed down and really pressed on.
If you still lose status quo and tranquility and the predominant emotions or weakness, superficiality failure on availability on balance, dependence, vulnerability, flight, blame, etc. Okay, so you understand now that These emotions. So these detonators have to do with most personal part of you. But you cannot tell me that these things don't happen in business. And that upon these things, a business owner will make decisions. Now, you see, if you are not aware of the process, if you're not aware of the dynamics, you will often make bad decisions based on what the ICS that does for you.
So, yes, this has a lot to do with your business. And I think that in very few words and very few minutes, we just like that nations, you can become very much aware of what happens to you exactly. Knowing that it's not you that it's something else. And if you know that it's something else, you can control it and we will get to that
