So welcome back. And let's see what the course is about is about the inner control system. And that's what actually is within us, which opposes the systems. Now, let's give a definition for now to this new aspect to this new force that we're talking about. So, the inner control system is a primeval biological software, that all living creatures possess to some degree, like much stronger human beings, the purpose of which is to ensure the survival of the individual that governs as well as other species that he belongs to. For most people, it is also known as the ego in this course, it will often be referred to as the ICS.

I did not want to call it the ego for a very simple reason I do not want it to have it associated to religion or to psychology, not because they're wrong, of course. But I want to talk about this in a different context, which is a systemic context. Because I want you to understand that this inner control system is nothing bad. It's not something that wants to damage us or anything. But I want to insert it within a dynamic, which in some way, decides for our lives for businesses. First of all, I call it a software, a biological software, this software which is ingrained in our mind in our brain that has the sole purpose the sole mission to ensure that we survive, that we add the species that we belong to, that means that our offsprings do survive.

Okay, that's something does. It's not concerned about anything else. So whatever it does it, it doesn't for that purpose for that reason, and it had millions and millions of years to train itself to be very, very efficient. And believe me it is. As a matter of fact, I would like to take the famous Maxim that says that the greatest feature of the devil was that it made us believe that it doesn't exist. And the same thing I will say about the ICS, that the ICS the the greatest teacher of the ICS is that to make us believe that it doesn't exist.

In fact, we don't even know that it's there. And we believe that everything we think, everything we do, everything we feel, etc, is us. Well, to some degree, to some extent, it is us. But when it comes to say, it's for me, it's for my benefit. That's not you. Because we are systems and systems, as I said, are there to benefit everything and everybody in a given environment.

So, when this these things come up, when we feel fear, when we feel kind of negative feelings that the ICS it does that in order to control us, but we will see better how that works. For the time being and want you to know and to ingrain in your mind, that it is not you, you are not your mind, you are not the ICS that's the important thing that you must keep in mind. It's working on your behalf, making you believe that it's you. Because if you know that it's something else, then you would take action. And that's the precise reason why I'm telling you this so that you understand what is you and what if not you so you can take the necessary measures. So Let's see a few things that you must know about the ICS.

For one thing, it is not bad. Okay, there's no moralistic connotation attached to the ICS. Okay, that's why I also did not want to use the word ego because ego is associated to something negative, something bad. It's just doing its job. Okay? So it's not bad.

It's obsessed with control, which it will try to acquire at all costs to feel safe. Security is number one priority for the ICS in once a safe and you are in the only solution that it has, is to control us in a machine paradigm way. You know where it says don't do this. It will put us in a cage in time. It doesn't care about anything else, but it will make us safe so that we will survive and in fact, our happiness or success is Not a priority for the ICS security is it doesn't give a damn. If we are happy if we're having success.

Of course, if we have success, we live well and everything or enjoys that Oh, very much so, but it will never trade security for wellbeing. Number one for URI a security. It wants results and results. It doesn't care about long term we've discussed that before. And it wants results so that if it has results, it knows that it is safe. Otherwise, it will push us injecting us certain feeling certain emotions like fear, for example, or other kinds of feelings. So that removes so that we do Something about getting something immediately. It simply works on a basic towards pleasure and away from pain mode.

These are the only two instructions that we've has for everything, it measures the pleasure if we're having pleasure, and on the other hand, it measures if we have fame, which one is stronger will win. By default, it will privilege pain. Why? Because if we feel pain, we are more, let's say motivated to do something about it to take action. Whereas if we are if we have pleasure, it likes pleasure, but pleasure itself doesn't get security. Whereas if there's a situation that could be even slightly at risk, it will inject pain so that we take action, so that this is how it operates.

And it wants to go towards pleasure, or it wants to get away from pain that's so interested in nothing else, not our happiness, nothing else. So this is very simple what the ICS does.
