Now we're going to do some subtle aging with makeup. When you're asked to age someone just using plain makeup, the reality is you can only add about 10 years onto a character's face. So if the director producers have some grandiose idea that you're going to make them 3040 years older and into a senior citizen, it's not going to happen. even adding 1015 years. hairstyle has a lot to do with it. facial hair, on a woman not so much but adding glasses.
The type of makeup, obviously someone younger is going to have something useful and as they get older, is going to be something more age appropriate. cleaner, more stylized, but I'm going to do is use my Mac contour palette. As you can see, it's well used back when I got this you could actually pick the clothes you wanted in it. But they're just basically contouring shades. So using a fine brush. I'm going to harden all of Trina's lines and make her look a little older.
Again, you're creating shadows because as you get older, this crease gets harder. And then you're going to create lines that aren't there. In the corners of the eyes. I can get them to squint that helps. If you put them on a little strong at first, that's fine. We can push them in with a sponge.
The big danger with doing this makeup or type of makeup is making something look very theatrical. I gotta use a fine brush. Then taking us take a pledge basically Push the makeup into the skin and feather way the edges. So they literally appear to be creases are the beginning of creases. So you can see in comparison with the eye looks like here versus the other side. Extending lines just don't have them in right into the eye orbit where they would normally go under the cathedral character lines.
Wherever you can see formation of something Sterling brown because these are all lines that will be accented as she would get older. So when your mother says stop making that face it'll stay there. way she wasn't kidding. Yeah. not turning into her an old lady. So we're just two years on her.
Pick the prominent ones. The corn is a mouse. Now you're gonna have to through the course of a day touch this up a lot because again, it's contour powders and you can do this with eyeshadow. You could do it with grease paint, just grease paint and involve a lot more blending. Two, I like the eyeshadow more. Just as a general comparison again, she's starting to age of it.
So again, if it looks a little heavy, she's your sponge. Push it in. I mean, in a wide shot, most of this wouldn't read. And reality in any shot on a show wouldn't really wouldn't be until they got in tight to shots, close ups that you'd actually really notice anything. Everybody looks young from far away so so and as you get older, your skin gets a little irregular. So we would actually put on less foundation to bring some of those irregularities out.
Because again, this is great for period shows or, you know, she's a little woman who works on the farm and you want to see that the environment is affecting her. So she'd look a little older than her useful counterpart who wears makeup in his own house in the city. Again, all that dictates it. And same thing we have nothing on the lips. So we probably go with that. If you wanted to make your younger you would give her lip color.
And so on and so forth. You can also do the accent, align center neck. You wouldn't want to contour her jaw, because then he would make it sharp and more defined. You want everything to look like it's starting to sag or in the opposite. If you want to make her more useful, then you would country, the cheek, your country, the jobs you get, make everything look more sharp and angular or in this case, we want everything to look more relaxed and neutral. Not to offend Trina she's probably in her 30s the most you could make her look would be maybe 4045.
So you would not start adding age spots and Putting white in their temple. I mean, most women color their hair so God knows what it looks like I don't think they ever know till the day they die. So it'd be the same thing if you wanted to play her younger, it leaves a red in, you want to play her more age appropriate, you would color this a suitable shade and so on and so forth. So that aging with makeup
