Welcome back. In this video, we're going to talk about traffic techniques and actually getting traffic to your OPT in page so you can start building your list. Okay, so this is a very important process. In this video, we're just going to run through the different types of traffic sources. And then in future videos, we're going to actually break down each one and get into more detail. So you need traffic to your OPT in page to funnel to your list, obviously, and the three different traffic sources are free traffic, and JV traffic and paid traffic.

Okay, so we're gonna talk about each one of these and then we'll get into more detail in the next video. So free traffic, I'll just be honest with you. First and foremost, free traffic doesn't happen overnight. Okay. And there's several different ways to do this, but it's more of a long term strategy. I definitely recommend you start with free traffic.

But just realize that no matter what you read or hear, there is no you know, push button free traffic Overnight software that's going to, you know, automate all this for you and you just have a bunch of them huge lists for you like tomorrow morning. Okay. Now with that being said, we're going to give you the best strategies for actually optimizing free traffic. So one is forums are they're also known as message boards. And these are very specialized and to the point. Okay, so forums, if you've ever done a Google search with a question, you've probably ended up on a forum with a lot of different people commenting and asking questions and answering questions and whatnot.

So forums are great. There's also social, Twitter, Facebook, things like that, on YouTube. Social media is great for free traffic, it's kind of become the buzz as far as traffic free traffic is concerned because it's so easy to share. And it's so easy to like and you know, pass on content to other people in your network. Okay, so a lot of people have built big lists with social media. There's Also articles, okay, you can write and submit articles to sites like us free ads.com.

And it's another great way to drive traffic back to your site. The articles will have links that link back to your site and link back to your page where people will opt in. And there's also link exchanges and software. Okay, so link exchanges and software are, you know, they're good. But really the three big ones I would stick with, I would start with forums, social media and articles. And then as far as paid traffic goes, pay traffic, the big benefit to paid traffic is that it's faster.

Okay? So pay traffic is a lot faster, you can get fast traffic and build a list a lot faster with paid traffic. The big difference is you just have to pay for it. Okay. It's not free like social media or free traffic is. So basically the way it's going to work is you're going to buy the ad you're going to spend money on the ad that's going to send people to your page where they can opt in, which is going to send them to your list where you can then continue to market to them.

There's three different kinds of paid traffic, there's that PPC, which is pay per click. So you pay every time somebody clicks on your ad, then there's cost per thousand, which, basically, cost per thousand is 1000 impressions. So you pay per 1000 impressions are, you know, every time someone sees your ad, okay, and then there's CPL, which is cost per lead, and you can actually get paid for every lead you generate. So every time you generate a name and email for someone, they'll pay you, you know, $1 50 cents or whatever. Okay? And the third type of paid traffic is joint ventures, okay?

And basically, with the joint venture, you team up with somebody else that has a list, and you basically say, you know, I'll mail to my list for you. If you mail two years for me, okay. And this is known as a list swap. So this is kind of one of those things. You have to have a list before you can really I mean, if you have a list of five people and you're trying to talk to someone who has a list of, you know, 5000, they're probably not going to take you very seriously. But once you have a big list and you've built your list with the free and paid traffic, certainly list swaps is a great way to add to your list and, you know, just get more people you can market to, but like I said, you can't really do it until you pull your list and can reciprocate.

So basically, what you're going to do is you're going to start with free traffic, okay, you're going to start building your list with free traffic, and then you're going to move on to paid traffic. Okay, so most free traffic sources like Facebook, offer advertising, okay, so Facebook and Google, they offer advertising as well. Okay, but the first thing you want to do is take advantage of the free traffic first, then do list swaps. Okay, so free traffic, paid traffic and list swaps. So in the next video, we're actually going to start off and delve into free traffic and talk about how to really utilize that and then we'll move on to paid traffic sources. In the next video
