Welcome back. In this video, we're going to talk about subject lines that work, okay? So really the main reason we want to optimize our subject lines, because if you don't have great subject lines and they don't work, that means people aren't going to open their emails. And if people don't open, their emails are not going to click on anything, they're gonna go buy anything, you're not going to make any money. Okay, so we want to have great subject lines that work. So a couple key points here that you want to keep in mind is one, the main reason that we wanted to get the name and email is so we can use the first name code that the autoresponder will give you that you put in every email that you write, that's basically going to speak directly to the person, it's going to personalize the email.

Okay, that's going to help your open rate because people open emails more when it has their name in the subject line. Okay? You also want to ask questions in your email, okay, so, a good example would be, you know, how are things in your business today? Okay, that's just That's when I saw the other day it was pretty good. So you know, asking questions just kind of like piques people's curiosity, they want to know more, they kind of want to open the emails just to see what's going on. You also want to split test, okay, if you're, if you're getting a subject line is giving you a 5% open rate.

Don't just settle for that because there's room to improve, definitely. So make sure that you're split testing, optimize the subject lines, don't leave a lot of money on the table because people just aren't opening your emails, you're not getting enough opens, okay. And then make sure you read your reports. These reports are going to be provided by your email platforms. They're going to tell you how many opens you're get how many clicks, you're getting all these things. So it's very important that you read your reports and then split test, optimize and get the best subject lines out that you can.

Okay, so when you're writing your subject lines, a couple things to keep in mind is you want to play towards people's emotions, okay, so you don't want some dry, boring subject line. That Nobody's going to respond to you. Okay, so you want to make it full of emotion, you kind of want to make it a little bit odd, a little crazy, a little bit different, okay, people get, you know, some people get hundreds of emails a day, okay, so to get someone to open an email, it's got to stand out, okay. And then also the personal references grace, using that. Using that name in the subject line really helps that first name code and just remember kind of odd different crazy, just something that's going to stand out and kind of pique their curiosity and make them want to open. So here's a few subject line examples that we've used and the conversion rates that they got.

Okay, so the first one here is first name, we need to talk. Okay, just straight up first name, we need to talk that's the subject. Okay, so using that subject line, yielded about a 15.2% open rate. And by the way, if you're getting a 20% open rate, you're doing very well. Okay, so first thing we need To talk 15.2% This one's a little bit more risky. It's the most dangerous website in the world most dangerous website in the world at 16.2%.

Okay we change the word from dangerous to profitable just to see what what happened most profitable website in the world. And it went down to 15%. That's over 1% drop. Okay, so it's interesting. You would think that the most profitable web most profitable website in the world would have one, but that most dangerous website in the world just peek more people's curiosity. They wanted to see what was going on.

And this one's a little bit more personalized your first dollar of 2011 first name. Okay, so your first dollar 2011. JOHN, your first dollar of 2011. Susan, this one had a 19.7% open rate. Okay, so that's over 3% of the previous. So that one's really good.

And then your bank Count in 2011. JOHN, okay, your bank account in 2011. First name 20.1%. Okay, so as you can see, we've experimented tested lots of different subject lines. These are just a few examples. These are just some of the ones I wanted to show you.

And then finally, the last one is this is not an email. This is not an email. That's the subject, okay. 23.2% open rate. That's quite an increase from where we were before. And you know, it's not a lie.

This is not an email. This is more like this non email gets their attention. They open the email and then maybe inside you say something like, you know, this is an urgent message you need to read right now, you see. So this is a few examples, you know, this is always something you want to test and tweak and come up with, but just always Don't be afraid to try something new. And just keep testing and keep reading your report. And you're gonna be fine.

So subject lines are important, okay, from the first email to the last we increased by 8%, just by changing the subject line 8% open rate increase, that's huge. If you got a, you know, 1000 people on your list, that's 80 people that opened the email that didn't open it before, just because you change the subject line, something very simple to do, by the way. So subject lines are extremely important, because if no one opens your email, they don't read the content, they don't click the link they know by so we've kind of talked about that a lot in this training. But always test what your list responds to everybody's list is going to be different. Yours is going to be different than mine. Mine will be different than somebody else's.
