I'm Joe McCall. Welcome to ultimate drumming calm. I'm going to show you this really cool triplet, Phil, verse I'm going to play for you. I'm going to break it down note by note and show you how it works. I'm playing this pattern. I'm counting eighth note triplets.
Eighth note triplets. I like to count them evenly, evenly, evenly evenly. I'm playing every syllable that I say. It's gonna go like this. evenly, is the length of a quarter note. I'm gonna add the bass drum on the quarter notes.
Or each time I say eat, it's gonna go like this. evenly, evenly, evenly, evenly. When I'm playing this pattern, I'm starting out by playing all the triplets on the snare drum. But each time I get to the number or the E, I'm going to play it on a symbol or a TomTom. Here's how the hands would work evenly, evenly, evenly evenly. accents can also be played on the tom toms evenly evenly evenly evenly.
The bass drum is going to go on the quarter notes, or each time I play an accent or on the ease when I say evenly evenly evenly evenly evenly. Let's try picking up some speed. What? A great way to practice these triplet fills would be to play two measures, shuffle beat two measures fill something like this. There you have it another great sounding film you can add to your drumming repertoire. Thanks for watching.
