Major Triad 1 Octave Froward Arpeggio We now include the octave of the Major Triad Arpeggio spanning a 12-semitone range. This makes it suitable for intermediate level vocalists. Arpeggios are great for learning chord sounds and skipping intervals as discussed in lesson 3. We sing the Major Triad with lip rolls from the first note up to the last note sequentially through three intervals finally hitting the octave of the initial starting note at the top with no variation in the exercise. We then jump to the second and third notes again to complete the phrase. In the same breath, we sing the phrase twice finally coming to rest on the initial starting note. Note - Remember lip rolls enable us to move easily through our 3 vocal registers without pushing or straining our voice.
