Hi there. So in our last session, what we did was we created a particular custom footprint or package. Now, what we need to do is we need to create a symbol for that particular package. So if you look at the eagle control panel now, in the libraries in the library that you have created in the footprints, you can see all of the footprint is generated. Now we have to do our package or you have to create a symbol for this particular package. So we'll just right click this library and click on Open that will open the particular library section.
From here, we have taken footprint before to create a footprint. Now we'll create or now we'll click on this symbol so that we can create a new symbol for it. Again, in the same way, here we have to give a symbolic name. I'll give it so mo faulty audio It can be any name that you want for your device. Create new symbol. Yes.
So exactly like before, we are open here now to create a symbol in a grid, but this time this grid will affect us It won't find that suitable for our eyes. So let's just turn it off, but keep the sizes point one inch or 2.54 mm, that's okay. Now what we need to do is we need to create this kind of symbol. So a simple square with eight pins on each side we'll do very first thing we need to do is all the steps are outlined here which will be available for you. The first thing is adding pins. Select this pin symbol over here or just type pin and you can go on adding pins.
I will add eight pins one after another one 234567 each, then I will click right click once and then at a particular distance, I will click it more 12345678 so all 16 pins have been done placing. Now what we need to do is we need to change the pin names. They should match our device like this and so we have to change the pin names according to these things. Just go to assemble now and click on name. This is called clicking in each individual pin. You can click it here.

Next thing after adding symbol outline is to place the name and value placeholder just like how we did in the package. So, name should be a text like this placed at layer 95 names.
Click on the text to name, lips, click it on layer 95 things just put a name here. Then repeated for value, this time it should be 96 value After all is done we can change the pin directions as well as length. So, to do that, what you need to do is simply right click on the particular pin go on to properties and just see direction most of the times IO is okay which is input as well as output pin for all the pins, but if needed, you can manually change it so some are inputs and some outputs. Likewise by default all of the pins will look like I Thirdly, you can also try to change the length and you can just see what different lengths are available for those wells.
