So you've got the call, you've got the invitation to go on talk radio. If you haven't done a lot of talk radio and feel absolutely confident, I would recommend that you rehearse. Either interview yourself or have a friend or colleague, ask you questions, and then answer them. But don't just talk it out. I would recommend pull yourself out out, hit the audio record button, and actually record your practice interview. Don't just talk it out.
Don't talk to the mirror. But conduct an interview. Either have someone ask you questions or you interview yourself and try to simulate the length of the actual interview if the interview is going to be for three minutes, but have someone interview you for three minutes. If it's going to be for a 15 minute spot or even an hour spot. Try to do the practice for the same length. Then I need you to listen to it.
Listen to it carefully. Make a list of what you like. What you don't like at your homework right now?
