Thanks for joining me for this course on how to speak at a press conference. a press conference is not something you should do every day unless you're the mayor of a huge city or the White House spokesperson. But a press conference can be a great way of really putting attention on an issue that you think deserves a lot of media coverage. And it can be a way of getting a lot of interviews done at once and getting huge coverage. So it is an effective tool. But to do it, you have to prepare the right way.
You've got to have a good speech, and you should really get it down to about three minutes. You've got to have great sound bites, solid messages in the first minute. And then you got to be comfortable and relaxed, answering questions. Finally, you need to rehearse on video and tell you like what you see. If you do those things. You are going to be in great shape for your press conference.
Good luck and I hope to see you in the media.
