What is my favorite medium to work in? Is it being on television? Is it internet video? Is it newspaper? Is it writing books? Now, I have at some point been involved in every single medium in the world other than I've never tried to make feature movies.
And thank goodness. I've tried to stay away from that. Here's my answer. Every medium has unique strengths and weaknesses. There's nothing like the depth you can go into if you're writing a book. There's the intimacy of talk radio, where people just hear your voice and you're on the air.
Maybe for an hour or two. I've hosted four hour talk radio shows where you can really form a bond and a connection, especially when it's a daily show. There's kind of the glamour of television and the sense of Oh, people saw you on TV that makes you real, and then there's the prestige of being variable influential newspaper like the New York Times or The London Times, every medium has strengths and weaknesses. So to me, it's not about just one medium, one being better than the others. It's about the interplay because they all work together. The real power of the media is when you and I hate this overused word has some synergy where you're in all these different media outlets.
And they combined the something bigger at the moment, frankly, my favorite medium is right here on YouTube with all of you and on Udemy right here because this is where I connect with people. And this is where people see me and I feel like I can help them best outside being together, one on one or in small groups in live situations. So I love the Udemy online video environment and other online environments like facebook, facebook, live And YouTube. But I wouldn't be here if I hadn't also done thousands of interviews on TV and radio as a host and as a guest. And without having written books, all of these things combined together and without having written thousands of blog posts, so all of these media outlets combined my recommendation, try to use every medium as effectively as possible. Figure out where are you at your best as far as really reaching the people you care about your customers, clients prospects, but then you got to use a little bit of the others to make it all come together.
