Do you vary your tone? Or do you sound flat and monotone the whole time? No. You want to sound conversational, and that means variation in tone, sometimes louder, sometimes softer, sometimes faster, sometimes slower. And there's just a variety in how you use your voice. Boring.

People tend to just everything comes out the same same speed, same volume, same tone, there's no variety. So rate yourself or your colleague on that.
