This concludes this course on how to be a candidate and how to communicate successfully to the media and live audiences. As a candidate, I certainly wish you luck in your campaign. I take my hat off to you. It's rare and rare these days that people are willing to make the sacrifice to run for public office because you can and will face certain indignities, massive strains on time, resources, family. And it only gets worse if you win. So I do want to thank you for participating in democracy and throwing your, your ring your hat into the ring.
It is a special sort of person even willing to do that these days. Best of luck in your communication. Remember, whoever is the better communicator in most campaigns is the winner. So it's great that you've gone through this course. But you've now got to practice what you've learned here. You've got to have sharp, clear message.
You've got to be able to answer someone's question when they say Why are you running? And if they look like they're in a hurry, you better be able to say it in 30 seconds. If you have any opportunity to speak to the media, you better have something interesting to say. And to be able to say it in sound bites. Good luck with your campaign. Let me know how you did drop me a line.
