So you want to host your own podcast, it's not as hard as you think. If you've ever had an interesting phone conversation with even one person in your life, you have all the presenting skills, you need to be a good podcaster. Now, that doesn't mean it's quite that simple. You do have to give it some thoughts and planning yet to make some fundamental decisions. But this course is going to walk you through all the basic decisions you need to make then give you the tools you need to practice, rehearse and get ready for your own podcast so that the whole world can listen now. Let's define our terms.
It is certainly possible to do a video podcast and you go to iTunes and you have that choice. I'm using the term podcast, meaning audio only an audio file that you create that people can listen to on their iPods was the original way that name came out. Nowadays, people can listen to audio on anything, most often their cell phones, but they can listen to another computer in their car. Anywhere. So it's really about creating audio. Talking audio specifically, this isn't about music and being a DJ.
And it's about doing in a way that isn't on traditional terrestrial live radio. It's about creating a file that people can hear anytime, anywhere. So that's what the course is about. We're gonna hop right in now with basic decisions you have to make on format
