Common question I get TJ, do you ever get nervous before media interviews, especially if it's live national TV? Certainly I used to again, I hope this doesn't sound in any way arrogant. There's again, no unique skills or talents I have. But it's very hard to be nervous about anything that you've done thousands of times. And when I add up the number of times I've been on local TV, national TV, international TV, and radio, it's literally thousands of times, but certainly, in the early days, doing TV, in the 80s, I would feel my heart race, I would feel like part of my ear would tighten up and it would almost feel like there was a drum in there tightening. So I felt tension.
So I am certainly sympathetic to those of you who do these days to be totally candid with you. I get very nervous on days, when I'm not doing an interview. If I'm not giving a speech, because that means I'm not reaching out to as many people as I could, I'm not building my business as much as I would like to now, in a sense every day, I'm speaking to the media because I have YouTube videos and videos on Udemy and 50 other platforms. So I'm putting stuff out there every single day, but I'm not necessarily being interviewed, or creating every day. Those are the days that make me more nervous, because it means I'm not helping to build my business as much as possible. I do think ultimately, that's the more helpful attitude is to be nervous about not speaking out, because when you have a good message, and you help people and you're trying to help people, you get a lot more benefit every time you speak, than by not doing an interview or not speaking
