TJ Am I good looking enough to be on camera I should be behind the scenes kind of guy or gal, right? rah. It's one thing if you want to be a Hollywood movie star or a Bollywood movie star, and your face is up on a giant screen hundred feet tall, and you want people to fantasize about kissing you or something, well, yeah, maybe your looks are really important that but when it comes to being a spokesperson for your company, your organization, your book, your campaign, it just doesn't matter how good looking you are, most of the time. Why do I say that? People say, Well, you know, everyone on TV is good looking. Not true.
Forgive me to those of you outside the US. I am going to give some us references here and I apologize. But I do live here in the United States. I have clients come to me and say, Well, I'm not good looking enough. I'm too old. I'm too bald.
I'm too fat. And here's the questions. I give to them. Are you really heavier than Oprah Winfrey? She's made billions of dollars on TV. Is your hairline really worse than Dr. Phil?
He is completely bald. Are you really older and more wrinkly than Judge Judy? She's mid 70s and she's the highest paid person in all of Hollywood. And she's this little bitty woman. It looks like everybody's grandmother. She's not some young beautiful starlet no offense Judge Judy.
So chances are you're thinner than Oprah. You're younger and prettier than Judge Judy. You have better hair than Dr. Phil. So relax. You're plenty good looking to be on TV, to be in video to be making your own YouTube videos or your own Udemy videos. Now I'm very confident here.
Some of you have pointed out but it's not because I think wow, I'm the most beautiful, most handsome person in the world. I'm well aware of my flaws. Harrison Not great eyes to be close together, narrow getting some gels. I'm aware of my flaws. But here's what else I'm aware of. It doesn't really matter to you, because you're here not to look at some matinee idol.
You're here to get information that's gonna help you in your business and your career and your life. And as long as I'm not doing something really distracting, then it's not gonna bother you. Now, if I had a mustache on just half of my face and clean shaven. Well, yeah, that would be distracting. That may be enough to make you question whether you want to even watch this guy, but I'm not doing that. I'm avoiding distractions, focusing on helping you.
So yes, you're plenty good looking enough to be in the media to be in front of the camera.
