Thanks for joining me for this class on on camera skills for TV reporters and news anchors. I've covered a lot of ground here I've given you a whole lot of tips, but the number one tip I'll keep coming back to it is if you want to be great on camera, and seem natural, relaxed, authoritative as a reporter, as an interviewer and as an anchor. The key is practice on video until you like what you see. And once you get going with your career, and you're on video every day and you're on TV every day, keep watching it you won't have to practice separately, you'll just watch what you did that day. But this will get you better and better and better, more relaxed, more confident, more comfortable, you'll know what works and what doesn't work. So that's the number one piece of advice here practice on video.
If you're not yet reporting and anchoring full time, practice on video, don't practice on live audiences. Practice on video until you can look at that video and say wow That's exactly how I want to come across. If I can look like this for that person, I'll be extremely confident fantastic. Composed reporter on air I'll be coming across exactly the way I want and you're pointing to the video of yourself. If you're anchoring and reading teleprompter, then you need to practice on teleprompter on video until you like what you see. And you don't look any different than a network news anchor who's been doing it daily for 25 years.
Again, your own style don't copy anyone but you do you do want to seem as relaxed and comfortable and is confident is someone like that. Do that and you will be in great shape. As a reporter and as a news anchor. Good luck with your career.
