I'm Joe McCall. Welcome to ultimate drumming calm. I'm going to show you this great sound or rock beat. First I'm going to play it for you at several different tempos. I'm going to break it down to show you a note by note how it works. What This is another great Santa rock beat that has been played on thousands of hits songs and all different styles of music.
So this is one you want to have down and you're going to use a lot. Here's how it works. First you got to be counting eighth notes notes were counted one, and two, and three, and four. And I'm gonna play eighth notes with my right hand on the ride cymbal or closed hi hat. It's gonna go like this. One, and two, three, and four, and 123 and four.
The left hand is going to be pointing on the snare drum on beats two and four. I have to coordinate the left hand with the eighth notes that are being played by the right hand, it's going to go like this. One, and two, and three, and four, and one, three. bass drum is going to go on beats one and three. I have to coordinate all the parts together. It's going to go like this.
One and two and three. Once you get this pattern down, it's smart to practice it at different tempos. First I'm going to start out with a medium tempo. I'm gonna try a slower tempo then a fast tempo. What There you have it another great sounding rhythmic pattern you can add to your drumming repertoire. I'm Joe McCall.
