Story was amazing. Do you have any other bad stories? I do. I have, I have one more bad story. So there's so the part of him getting over cancer just like one chapter of this whole thing of this incredible guy I got to meet. And so, so he would come to see me at my office after he I'd seen him at the cancer unit.
And so he would come and we'd have our sessions and my office wasn't far away from the local library. And so this is before smartphones, so I would go from my office quite regularly, and go check my email the library. And so one day I was over there. On my way over to the library, and out front of the library, there's Beth and he like wore this like really, like long red coat and you were orange hunters hat, you know. It's a standard so we're sitting there, chirping away on the sidewalk, you know, did that uh, They did it. And then this guy pulls up on his bike.
And his name was Richard. And I'll never forget Richard, because he was the first client I saw in the cancer unit. And so I saw, I saw Richard, I think it was seven years previous, he was the first guy that I will work with. And I was always kind of self conscious about working with men at that time, because that they're more guarded, you know. And so I had these six sessions with Richard and I don't really remember what happened, you know if he lived or not. And so here comes Richard up on his bike, he gets off and I go, Oh, my God, he's alive for one.
And and then we're talking to bed on the sidewalk. And they both have this, they've soon find out in the conversation. They both have this thing in common that they had both had cancer, and they had both worked with me. And so there's like this surreal moment where everyone is absolutely beaming on the sidewalk that that we'd all been not to life and death together. But we'd all been through death and life and I had helped these two guys As with they're getting over cancer. And so it was just this moment of acknowledgement.
There was three way that was like, I guess you would call it like a profound moment of joy. I'll never ever forget it. And then I thought about it later. And I thought, you know, this is the reason I do this work, that there's no other reason because it's about healing and it's about connecting with people on a real choice way. So that's kind of another best story but he pulled somebody else into it named Richard, which was their lives is really great.
