The most productive people expose themselves to the most ideas. That means a great deal of variety. Sometimes in the short term, this can take more time. So for example, taking a different walking route to work or to wherever you're going, may take a little bit longer, but you'll see different businesses, different trees, different landscape, different architecture and exposes your brain to different simulation. The more ideas, the more images you process, the more you can combine that to produce something new. That's why it's important not to just stay in your niche.
Again, successful people really focus on their core strength, but the way they're able to focus on it quite often, is by exposing themselves to the widest range of ideas. That's why I believe highly productive people. Don't just go to the same restaurant every time. They don't just eat the same sort of foods. They're constantly looking for new stimulation, new ideas because these ideas combined with the old ones to create more productive ideas for products and services and for life.
