Should you wear glasses when giving a presentation? You can, if you always wear glasses, it's gonna look odd if all of a sudden you take them off and people don't recognize you, and you can't see them. Now, these are my reading glasses. I don't wear these during presentations, speeches or talk shows because they're so thick and dominant. It just dominates the face the shadows from this cover my eyes, so I don't use that. If it were my particular style, it could nothing wrong with it, especially but all things being equal.
If you're going to wear glasses, I recommend glasses more like this. It's not that there's anything special about them. It's just these don't have big shadows casting on my face because there's no rim and it doesn't reflect as much. Now there's still some reflection on these glasses. but less than some because these have been glare proved. So if you're going To be speaking, and especially if you're doing anything on video, you might want to have some glare proof glasses or have some like this that don't have a lot of frame to them.
Now I don't have to wear my glasses and I don't wear them all the time. So when I'm speaking to you on video, or giving a presentation in front of live audiences, I often don't wear any glasses. So the rule of thumb I have is if you only need your glasses for reading, don't wear your glasses during a presentation. If you have to read something, just make your font larger so you don't have to put on your glasses. If you always wear glasses, then wear them during a presentation. But if you aren't going to be presenting a lot and you want people to focus more on your message and who you are and not distract.
I would get rid of really thick glasses with the thick frames. If you need thick lenses, nothing you can do about that.
