This course is going to give you thousands of tips on how to be more productive. Some of them will sound like common sense. And they are common sense. But you have to ask yourself if it's so common, why aren't you following them? I want to give you one big overriding principle, you can forget a lot of particular suggestions and tips. But if you focus on this one thing, you will dramatically improve your personal productivity.
I have studied every single major productivity guru in the world, I've tried to improve my own productivity. Here's what I found. If you focus on doing one thing that you're good at, that you enjoy, and that other people appreciate it. That's going to make you wildly productive that will crowd out all the other distractions. If you're a fantastic sculptor, and you're sculpting you're not going to be tempted to check Facebook every two seconds. If you are a world class chef, you're not going to be tempted to take every single phone call from every friend every two seconds.
So we'll get more deeply into this as we go through the course. But for so many people, it's not about the perfect app, or the perfect reminder on your cell phone, are finding the next guru to tell you the way. It's about finding something that you really, really enjoy. And it doesn't even have to be for business where you're paid for it. It could be a hobby, finding something that you're truly passionate about, that will focus your energies. There's going to be thousands of other tips, but if you can, try to figure out what that one thing is, it's going to automatically eliminate so many of your own personal productivity problems.
