Like anything in life, there are pros and cons to being a freelancer. The pros of being a freelancer, you have no boss, you answered yourself, you can make your own schedule. You can do what you want. You've got intellectual freedom, you've got a lot of creative control. You can pick and choose your clients. Ideally, you can choose where you want to work when you want to work.
You don't have a lot of office politics. And depending on how you want to structure your business, you can make as much money or as little money as you want some make millions and make 10s of millions of dollars a year as a freelancer depending on how you wanted to find that term. Now, one of the downsides of freelancing there are no benefits unless you pay for them yourself. There's no vacation time. It just means you don't work. You don't pay computer breaks.
A fax machine. If you're still using one of those breaks. There's no it tomorrow. meant, you gotta handle it yourself. You're not quite sure how to get the kinks out of your website. There's nobody to call, you have to do it yourself.
You are sick for a month laid up. There's no automatic paycheck coming in. You don't get paid that month. So there are a lot of downsides as well. So you need to give it serious thought before you make any leap into freelancing unless your no other options for you
