Let's start with something simple. What do you put in your mouth all day long? before you even get to your food, what is it you drink? It's not going to be Diet Coke and it's not going to be Gatorade. No offense to those brands. But what I see is remarkably similar among wildly productive people all over the world is this.
Water I won't get into the debate whether you need eight ounces or eight glasses of eight ounces of water every single day. Some people say that's too much some too little. All I can tell you is if this is your go to drink, that means you're not drinking soft drinks all day and sugar and sugar substitutes all day and you're not drinking 49 cups of coffee. I'm not saying you can't have coffee. I have coffee every day. But I try to limit it to one cup and the rest of the De, I'm drinking this.
The beauty of water is it solves a lot of other problems. It keeps you from being dehydrated, so you're less likely to have a headache. I don't know about you, but what's the first thing that happens when I get a headache, my productivity goes way down. Because all I can think about is poor little May. by drinking more water, you are less likely to get hungry and want to snack all day long. And regardless, I hope you're drinking healthy, safe water, I realize it's not equally accessible all over the world.
But the more you're drinking water, the less likely it is you are to be putting other sorts of pollutants in your body. And yes, green tea is fine, if that's your drink of choice, but the beauty of water is it's so accessible in most places. It's easy to get it's free most of the time. Yeah, you can buy bottled water. But even if it's not, it's readily available everywhere doesn't take a lot of special preparation, you'd have to bring your own chef along with you. It's just there.
Even if you're less than a perfect healthy eater, even if you maybe junk food somewhere if so much of what goes in your mouth is water, you're way ahead of the game compared to people who drink soft drinks, other sugary drinks and drinks filled with a lot of garbage. So that's tip number one. It's not particularly controversial. My telling you to drink eight gallons a day No, but just have a glass of water when you're thirsty. Enjoy
