Productive people are often in some ways, lazy, they're not looking to do some gigantic new challenge every single day. That's why they often look for what works and double down. Now, as I mentioned to you earlier, I've had a career with a lot of failures. And that's okay. I've had a lot of successes in the live training department. But when it comes to media, books, videos, TV shows, radio shows, I've had a lot of failures to a handful of years ago, I started creating online courses, video based, and right away, I started getting a lot more success than I had in books and DVDs and CDs and all the other technologies in the past.
So I didn't just say, Okay, well that works. Let me do that 5% of the time and continue trying to write novels or make movies are other things. I doubled down on what works? And I did that more and more. Why do I make more online video based courses because I get constant rewards. It's frankly enjoyable to wake up in the morning, come onto this platform and see review after review of people saying, Wow, TJ, you changed my life.
That's a nice little reward. Not extra money for me for that, but it's an extra psychic reward. letting people know I've helped them they appreciate the money they did spend on me, that motivates me to make yet more and more courses. So now I focus my energies on creating more online courses. Okay. You may have no interest in ever creating online courses.
You don't have to find out what is it that you do well, where you get rewards, financial, social, maybe political What is the psychic income you are getting from the things you produce, look at what's working where you are rewarded. double down on that. Go deeper in that and that will make you more productive. It also makes life a lot more enjoyable to be appreciated for what you do.
