This next tip is going to sound a little contradictory. On the one hand, highly productive people do not have this mentality of I have to work 24 seven, I'm always on, I'm just going to grind it out more than anyone else. That's not the mentality of highly productive people. But highly productive people do realize that in an economy that is increasingly an idea economy, ideas can come from anywhere at any time. That means you need to be prepared to write things down or dictate whenever you get a good idea. So that can mean not having this in your bed with you or for a walk but with you most of the time so you can quickly send yourself an email write yourself a memo as I like to do dictate a quick memo, or, if nothing else, have a pad and pencil or pad and pen next to your bed.
If some brilliant idea comes to the dream or the middle of the night you wake up and you need to write it down. So be prepared to come up with new ideas all the time doesn't mean your mind has to be on. Sometimes it's in a relaxed state, complete state of relaxation where your best ideas can come up. productive people don't let it slip away. They write it down or they document it.
