Alright, so now that we've had a look at how to actually take the photos and the angles that you want to get and how to actually fly the drone around and take those fantastic shots, I want to get back to a little bit other stuff on local authority because although we did cover it a bit in laws and you know, safety and all that section in Section two, it's also not just the entire country's laws that you have to watch out for when you're traveling abroad and wanting to take awesome drone shots. It's the local authority as well because you know, a lot of the time when you go overseas and you want to take fantastic videos, you know, you're taking fantastic videos and you want to get them off of, you know, tourist spots or you know, big mountains or fantastic nature preserves or things that are quite often in like national parks or other sort of areas or zones that have their own sort of specific laws and specific rules.

So it doesn't really matter how good of a shot you get, or how well you fly your drone. It's, you know, always going to be a pain in the butt. If you actually get the spend all that time, all that money, all that effort getting there only to be told by say, a park ranger that you're not allowed to take any, you know, you're not allowed to fly a drone at all in this national park. Because even though the country model at that specific National Park doesn't allow it. So these are the type of things that can very easily catch people out and really sort of put a damper on, you know, what otherwise might be a fantastic vacation. So, as I said, you want to not only check the country's laws, but the actual specific location you're going to be flying or drawing in.

And there's a few different ways that you can do this. One of the best ways that I've found, particularly for certain countries is to actually go to the interactive map. So as you can sort of see here, this is just an example of one of these interactive maps. This is for France, and you can find a link To this on this sort of civil aviation website that they'll have that, you know, you can find with that UAV coach link that I gave you before, you can also search for these maps on Google or you know, many different routes, you can find them. But ultimately, if the country does have one of these maps, and they're very prevalent in Europe as well, they're really, really handy because all you need to do is just basically look up the particular spot that you want to actually fly. And you can just sort of zoom in and see that Oh, yeah, this area is perfectly fine to fly up.

Whereas this area over here obviously is marked in red and orange and isn't so particularly good to fly out. So you can go and look up your particular location you can search for, you know, such and such fantastic, you know, mountain or forest or whatever it is that you want to take a video of, and check on this map and go Yes, I have confirmed that, you know, there's no local sort of areas or specific rules that will prevent from flying this drone, and it really just gives you that absolute full confidence that you can fly your drone and you won't have any problems when you get there. Now, this is obviously one of the best ways because it's coming direct from the Aviation Authority of that, you know, government and that sort of country. But unfortunately, not every country has these fantastic interactive maps. So we'll cover a few other ways of how you can sort of get this information.

The other way you can get this information is by going direct to the actual website itself. So just as a pure example, say you want to get a really great shot of say a beautiful light in Switzerland or something like that. You've gone to the Switzerland authority aviation website, they don't have any maps. So you can actually go to that particular tourist sort of zone or area website itself. Just search for it on Google. I'm sure you'll find it coming up under the name of the lake or the mountain or whatever it is that you want to film.

They usually have a tourist website with information like, you know, cities or parking or just general information to these touristy type sites. And often is the case with national parks and sort of big, you know, natural preserve areas and stuff like that they will actually have some sort of drone specific laws saying, Yes, we allowed or perhaps no, we don't sort of thing. If you find that the website still doesn't have any information and you know, you've searched for the map, you search for, you know, the website, and you can't find any sort of reason. If it's a particularly you know, touristy spots, especially inside national parks, I'd highly recommend just emailing them as well. A lot of national parks don't particularly like people flying drones in there. Most of the time.

It's, you know, disturbing the peace or interfering with animals and that sort of stuff. So it can be very important to sort of check it because you don't want to, you know, at the very last moment get sort of stuck By park ranger or stopped by a staff member or something like that and told no, you can't fly here, so give them an email. I always think it's better to know upfront whether or not you can fly your drone or not maybe, you know, you have two or three destinations that you're thinking about filming at email, all three of them, perhaps two of them will come back saying no, we don't allow drones in our national park. Whereas the third one will come back and say, yeah, sure, it's fine, fly, whatever. And so you know, to go to that one, you know, you've sort of done your research, you've got that information.

And you know that if you rock up there, it won't be a problem rather than just ignoring it and not being aware of it and going to one of the other two and being told that you can't fly and you get the point. So that's sort of the full approach of trying to get the information for the local districts as well as the country itself. And, as I said, it's all just about making sure that you're perfectly legal to fly that drone there.
